Great Fridge

Been using this for a month now, it's great! Tall bottles (beer) don't fit well in the door, clank and slide around every time we open it, would love if a couple of the door shelves had taller holders. Love the ice maker, never hear it run like our old one. Also love the water inside the fridge. It would make sense to make the deli tray two bins so you could open it with only one door open, but overall, love this fridge!

We did a kitchen reno and got first use of the new fridge unit in the middle of August. Since that time we've delightedly gotten to enjoy its features and there are no complaints to speak of at this particular time. I*t's huge.

Have used this refrigerator several times for various clients, as well as myself - we have had the black sides painted to match the cabinetry - electrostatic painters can do this. Just make sure to remove everything from the freezer and fridge before painting if already installed.

My refrigerator arrived two weeks ago. Since I am not totally back in my kitchen I have not been able to take full advantage of it, but so far I very pleased with the overall capacity and I love how it looks in my kitchen. In fact I fell in love with the refrigerator the first time I saw it. My previous refrigerator was a side by side with ice and water in the door and while that feature was convenient I was always picking up ice off the floor and cleaning up splashes; it also took up quite a bit of space in the freezer. I chose the Kitchenaid with filtered water spout inside and the ice in the freezer to save my new wood floors. The size is just right for my small kitchen and fits perfectly with the new cabinets.

I bought this one month ago and am so happy that I did. This frig has lots of space, easy to clean, and a generous amount of freezer space,as we downsize from a family of 5 to empty nesters. The freezer has eliminated our need for a chest freezer in the basement. The ice maker and cold water dispenser are wondeful!

Love the inside water and ice maker in the freezer. However, the freezer door does not open properly and the ice container does not remain attached to the door. We did not have these issues with an older model of this design.

I purchased this as part of a kitchen remodel. Always wanted the bottom freezer and ice/water dispenser inside rather than in the door. This does it all -- ice easily available, water just inside the door, pull out freezer drawers allow easy access to everything stored there. Can see in a glance what is available and what needs restocking. Also love the french doors that allow storage and access to large items easily.

It's a good refrigerator; controls keep very steady temps in the freezer and refrigerator; ice maker works great; like the door alarm, in case it's left ajar, and the humidity control, which quickly gets rid of any fogging up on the shelves. Just wish there was more space for tall bottles, but it's good there's a slide out section of one shelf to accommodate them if needed.

We bought out refrigerator 4/15/16. We knew there was going to be a time to adjust to this type of unit. Freezer on the bottom instead of top. We thought we were not closing the freezer properly as we were always getting lots of frost on the door itself and inside with the food. Went out of our way to make sure we closed it properly each time we got into it. Enough was enough. Called the store where we bought it in Sept. , and explained what was going on. They were great about saying it was not right. Came right out and determined that the door had been damaged and not checked before leaving the plant. Okay so we were not too thrilled but understood and knew we are getting a new door.... The problem is that we had to take everything out of that freezer food wise to wait for the new door... 2 months later we are still waiting. This is not right. Should not have to wait this long, we bought the thing to be able to use it not for it to sit empty...

Happy with my new KitchenAid refrigerator

After researching and shopping for a 33 inch wide refrigerator, I chose the KitchenAid Architect II, and have been very pleased. While shopping for this product, I discovered that all manufacturers seemed to have limited selection in this width and the quality of the interior bins seemed to be a bit inferior. So given the choices, I selected the KitchenAid. While I'm overall pleased, I would have appreciated a higher quality in the drawer materials and the tracks they slide on. I like the interior filtered water dispenser and filtered water ice maker. I also appreciate the liners on the bottoms of the door bins. In addition, I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher and think both new appliances look great and give my kitchen an updated appearance.

I've only had my refrigerator for a month, so way too early to tell. My last one (Kenmore) only lasted 6 years with 3 repairs, so I'm hoping the K Aid will be more reliable. Already the freezer light only works occasionally. Fingers crossed--only time will tell.

I am so delighted with this refrigerator. I has a great set up and lots of room for tall bottles. I love the deli keeper and the icemaker as well as the filtered water system. There is plenty of room in the freezer and the temperature control is superb.

Bought this 2.5 months ago -- generally I'm happy with it, but I miss my external ice/water dispenser -- it's internal in this model -- I like the pull out freezer, but wish there was a feature to ensure drawer closure -- feel I always have to push on upper doors and freezer door to ensure closure -- it's energy efficient, but I feel this model was overpriced -- also sent in a rebate form which was rejected - I rely on the vendor to provide accurate info on rebates...

I bought this fridge because it was the only one that fit in my space and had filtered water. It needs some improvements, it is very loud compared to my old one, the temp setting is too sensitive, every time you open the door, the fridge kicks on, that annoying since it is loud, the produce drawers are flimsy and don't slide well, the shelf's don't have a ledge on the back, like they do on the sides and front, plus there is a gap to back of the fridge, so you have to be very careful or things tip in the back of the fridge. if you want to get into the deli drawer you have to open both doors, the left door doesn't push open, you have to grab the handle which is very inconvenient. To get water you also need to open both doors, because it requires two hands to fill a glass, my old one had a button that you could press with the glass to get the water running, was much better. I don't like the shiny front, in the black I got, it shows smudges right away, but guess that's my personnel problem.

This is our first french door refrigerator with the freezer drawer at the bottom. The first thing you notice is that all the space is accessible compared to the standard french door fridge with freezer behind the left door. LED lighting is a definite plus. Combined, the visibility to all the foodstuffs in the fridge and freezer is exceptional. It is a little inconvenient having to open the drawer to get ice. The inside water dispenser is a bit awkward too, but the water is much colder than the door model it replaced. This is the quietest fridge we've ever owned.

The exterior design is very attractive. The refrigerator interior shelving is easily adjusted and accommodates food items of different sizes. Freezer storage involves baskets that slide like a drawer and is sometimes challenging to use. Temperature control seems very accurate. This refrigerator is noisier than the earlier Kitchenaid refrigerator that we owned before this model.

I bought the 22 cu ft. French door with freezer at bottom 2 months ago and love it! It has a lot of space. You can access the bottom tray from the left side refrig. Door. I haven't figured out how to remove the spacers in the freezer so that I can lay the large frozen pizza boxes in there easily, but I can still fit them with a little rearranging. The unit is quiet, but I turned off the ice maker and don't use the inside water dispenser, as I don't use these features.

I love the frig on top at eye level. So much easier to see everything. This is my first French door frig and like that also, plus water dispenser inside is very space saving and compact compared to my old frig.

Water dispenser not very practical as both doors have to be opened for an extended amount of time, collapsable shelf does not lock in, other than that, works as intended.

I needed a refrigerator in the 33" width category to replace my old one, but little did I realize that it was a rather odd size so there are few options. It was nice to find a Kitchenaid but I was concerned about the 2 doors being different sizes and how they would line up with the cabinet doors built in above my refrigerator, but purchased it none-the-less. By some miracle, the doors ended up lining up perfectly which actually gives a nice symmetrical appearance. It is working great, especially compared to my old 15 year-old one whose freezer gave out - it is nice to see the slightly more modern technology in basically the same fridge. The only thing that is lame is the white bottom door in the refrigerator section, which does not fit well, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
