No one will touch the compressor!!!!

I bought in 2012 brand new, I've been battling my extended warranty company about the compressor repair. I've now only been given the option to pay outta my own pocket to repair this unit, with a repair allowance of $150.00. The company's I've contacted have estimated the repairs for $800.00- $1000.00 This would be the second major issue we've had with this unit since the purchase.

Bad ice maker, drawers stick

We have had this fridge for about 4 years. We have had to replace the ice maker twice at our cost. The drawers stick because humidity control lever gets in the way. The stainless door front has permanent stains I can't get off. Would never recommend this to anyone.

Fridge OK-Interior Water Dispenser Leaves Stains

The fridge is fine. My only complaint would be the interior water dispenser drips a bit after using it and leaves stains inside. I am not sure how to clean that without damaging unit. Also the floor of the unit is hard to access to clean out things that fall through the wire freezer baskets.

Starts to break down after three years

My husband I bought this refrigerator/freezer in Oct 2013. All went fine until October 2016, when the water filter leaked, the freezer froze shut because of a separate issue, and now the ice maker is not producing ice because the control board is broken. Repair totals so far: about $600.00 plus the cost of food we had to throw away after the freezer defrosted, plus the 11 bags of ice.

My wife and I remodeled our kitchen approximately 8 months ago and purchased a few new appliances, one of which was a Kitchen Aid french door refrigerator. So far we are very happy with this purchase as the storage temperatures, both refrigerated and frozen have been exactly as stated. 3 years old still running fine

The fridge still seems to be running as well as the day I bought it. It's still quiet and all the functions appear to be working fine. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of five, I found it a little difficult to clean the freezer part and the plastic cover on the bottom could be attatched a little better. Bottom drawer freezers are always a pain to use too. They always seem stuffed and tough to dig through. If you live on frozen foods this is probably not the fridge for you. All in all it seems like a well made product and we're happy with it so far.

Not that great.

It refrigerates, but it leaves a ton to be desired. The drawers stick and don't slide open and shut easily. You have to force them in. The water filter works, but when you draw water from it, it makes a bunch of weird noises. I would say it wasn't built/designed very well at all. The freezer door slides like a piece of sandpaper on top of more sandpaper. It's frustrating and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

hard to get to water

This refrigerator came with the remodeled house we bought. I think the 22 cu ft model is too small for the water inside the door, I find I have to open both doors to access the water button. Wish water and ice were on the outside of the door.

Unfortunately I don't love this refrigerator. It is very small, and the configuration does not fit much. The shelves and drawers are very cheap feeling. Once I had the fridge for about 3 months, it started making a clicking noise that goes 24/7. The service desk has been pretty much useless unfortunately. I have other KitchenAid appliances and have absolutely no complaints at all! But I wish I had not bought this fridge.

Terrible Refrigerator

About 3 months after the purchase I noticed the temperature in refrigerator section was 65 -70 regardless of settings. I requested warranty service and the unit was repaired. After another 2 months I noticed freezer temperature to be -21 F. I tried to reset but the unit would ignore settings and keep freezer at -21. I decided t defrost in case there is any ice build up. I pulled the power plug out and left it sit powerless over knight. It spilled a lot of water on my wooden floor damaging considerably. After defrosting, the freezer temperature is still -21 F regardless of settings. Another repair service visit has already been scheduled.

I bought this along with 4 other Kitchenaid appliances. The crisper drawers a cheap & flimsy. Not on rollers. I didn't notice that when I purchased it. So the drawers are very difficult to close. Tech did put some food grade lubricant on them, which helped. He indicated that the factory "forgot" to put it on. Second is water filter. It slows down the ice making process greatly. The first tech that came out knew zero about what was causing the problem. The second tech said "remove the filter because you already have a reverse osmosis"...... It only makes 9 ice cubes per hour........ FYI... the tech told us this. The drawer for lunchmeats is a hoot. Slides easily, very accessible. No place to put soda, like my old Amana.

Great 33" option

Had a hard time shopping for a 33" model as the standard 36 wouldn't fit in my 1901 farmhouse. this KitchenAid did the trick without sacrificing features or capacity.

Leaking water everywhere!!

First I want to say that I love my refrigerator, its the first time I've ever had a brand new set of appliances. Since I purchased it brand new I wasn't expecting to have any issues with it for quite a while. After having the refrigerator for less than 1 yr it began leaking large amounts of water all over my kitchen floor. So much that my hardwood floors began to warp. I called for service since it was covered under warranty and they fixed it. Now a year and a half later ( and out of warranty) its happening again!! Has anyone else had this problem. It appears to leak from the freezer area leaving a large pool of water everywhere. I'm extremely unhappy that I have to deal and pay for this again.

Kitchenaid 22 cu.ft. standard depth French door fridge.

Love the fridge, only wish it had one more shelf that was tall enough for a bottle of pop. We put milk in the one that's tall enough, and we need two spots. The fridge is great, handy and love being able to see everything. So far no little green growth hidden surprises in the back!

Good frig, what we were expecting

We bought this frig right before Thanksgiving. It works well, especially like the 'door open' alarm. Only real thing we don't like is access to the deli-drawer. You have to open both frig doors to slide it out. Annoying when what you want is only one small thing in there. For us, a split drawer would have been more handy. Other than that, good price and quality is what we expected.
