This is my second KitchenAid dishwasher and this one works better than the first. I would have kept the first but sold it with my last house. So I bought a new one. It has more features and is quieter. But the real test is that all of the glassware comes out crystal clear. As does everything else.

My son-in-law bought this dishwasher for me since I had been without a working dishwasher for several years. My only "complaint" or issue with it is that the ProWash cycle (which is supposed to be more energy efficient) doesn't work properly. Several times I set the machine to ProWash at night, and I'd go to bed. When I got up the next morning the dishwasher was still running!! Now I just set it to NormalWash and it cleans fine, and no dishwasher running all night wasting water and energy. The NormalWash with the Heat Dry is awesome. I also like the layout and the capacity of the washer. Two options for loading silverware, and spacious enough to load many plates with a couple of skillet pans as well.

I like the shallow top rack for large cooking utensils and things that used to fall through the cracks of my old dishwasher, like cup lids and plastic straws. The door is really heavy and snaps closed unless there is a lot of weight on it but I'm sure that will loosen up with use. It's very quiet and washes well and I like that the inside is stainless steel and doesn't have many plastic parts.

We had a 7 year old dishwasher (which I guess in this age is ancient) and it was super noisy and took forever. It is taking my family a minute to get used to all of the features and I wish the instructions for how to load and use them was a little more detailed-but we will figure it out. This dishwasher is quiet and I truly like the quick cycle option. I can't wait to see how much water we save. Oh-and the dishes come out quite clean. It was recommended by our installers to run the sink water a little before each cycle to ensure it is warm and I don't know if that makes a difference but we don't use the extra hot cycle and they look good.

We've had this dishwasher for about a month now and are pleased with the results for the most part. The dishes absolutely get clean if you put it on the automatic setting (far left button, can't remember what it's called) and add the pro-scrub. The main drawback is that it takes over 3 hours. The quick wash cycle is really only good for dishes you've already thoroughly rinsed and they just need a touch up. It is pretty fast, but tend to leave food particles if the plates aren't basically clean. The adjustable top rack is a good feature, although I wish there were multiple heights. As it is, there's just a high and a low. Which is still more than our previous dishwasher. Be VERY CAREFUL when sliding the top rack back inside when you've got it at the high position. I broke a water glass that way and wasn't even using much force. Taller things tend to catch on the third rack. And speaking of, the third rack is great. I use it for pyrex and tupperware lids. Also, make sure you don't use the gel detergent. It's got to be the powder, or better yet the powder packs. You'll also need high quality rinse aid (a la Cascade pro) to make this dishwasher function at its best. Not a huge problem, but it does end up costing a lot more money. Extremely quiet. Unless you're standing right in front of it, you can't hear it at all.

Ok dishwasher. We've had it for a year now. The first week we got it we had install a new panel. INCONVENIENT for sure! Also had a piece come off one of the ends that hold the middle rack from popping out when you opened the door. My glasses where too tall so I had to lower the second rack to the lowest level. Then when I did that, my plates wouldn't fit on the bottom without hitting the middle rack. Ultimately, we ended up taking the first rack out and trashing because it just wouldn't work with my dishes or glasses.

There are more settings than are probably necessary but I am trying them all. Some burned on food in a baking dish did not come clean. I understand that. I liked the dryer on my old K.A. dishwasher because it dried dishes completely this one still remains damp even after leaving them overnight. I know it is an energy saving devise but where does al of this end. It has the capacity for a large amount of dishes is stainless steel lined and it is the 3rd K.a. DISHWASHER I HAVE HAD AND NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THEM. I have had another brand that did not last but about 5 years. I've been housekeeping for 56 years. Thanks K.A. The reason for the new dishwasher is that we updated the entire kitchen and are using all K.A. appliances.

What a wonderful dishwasher. We bought it last month and couldn't believe the difference between it and our 6 year old dishwasher. I had become accustomed to washing and scraping the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher and still their were leftover stains and food. Not with this Kitchenaid. Even pots and pans come clean every time and the copper bottoms shine like new. We are so pleased with this purchase.

This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned; Love the stainless on the appliance package we purchased. This dishwasher cleans better than any I have ever owned. The additional silverware rack on the top provides so much added space and it's easy to store from. The additional silver rack down below holds all types and sizes and, it is the width of the entire bottom shelf to hold so much more in a variety of utensils of all sizes. The top shelf is adjustable so you can put tall glasses and shorter ones of course. There's a lot of space to put pots 'n pans, dishes, bowls and a variety of containers. This is truly the best dishwasher I have ever used. No spots, no food left behind....it's great!

This machine cleans really well and is so quiet you forget it is running. The controls on the top as opposed to the front eliminate the possibly of it inadvertently being turned on or off, which happened often with my previous machine. I am not a fan of the 3rd rack as it takes up valuable space needed for taller items, but it can be removed. More adjustable tines on upper and lower rack are needed for spacing flexibility.

We put this dishwasher in our house we just completed building. The motor went out withing the first 5 months and had to be replaced. The company we purchased it from replaced it with no hassle but it's just the fact that it quit working after 5 months. We keep having an odor out of the dishwasher also, if it doesn't get better I'm going to request the unit be replaced.

Machine came damaged in two locations. Retailer and Kitchen Aid would not do anything to help out. Hinge bracket bent on door and tension rope/spring does not sit properly on tension wheels causing the door to fall to floor once you pass a certain point. I'm reminded of this every time the door falls on my toes.

Owned the dishwasher 6 months and the pump went out, being replaced under warranty. Normally this type thing happens after the one year warranty is up. The dishwasher started smelling terrible on the inside. The pump quick working and wouldn't pump the nasty water out of the bottom of the dishwasher.

I have had this dishwasher for a month! I love that it is so quiet! The Pro and Con are the 3rd shelf. The Pro is that it is a great place to wash small things. I even put some of my knifes in there to wash. The Con is that is does cause you to lose height on the middle rack, so some of my glasses don't fit. You can remove the 3rd rack and have more room, but I just put the glasses in the bottom.

Appliance works great after I had to purchase a $70+ water inlet valve in order to use my brand new dishwasher. Water inlet valve that was sent with new appliance had stripped threads and KitchenAid refused to replace the part for me. This will be the last KitchenAid appliances that I purchase. Tabs are supplied to anchor dishwasher on sides to cabinets are a very poor design. They don't stay put even when you bend tabs as instructions show.
