I LOVE THIS DISHWASHER. PURCHASED AND INSTALLED IT MYSELF. VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND EASY ACCESSES.. THE UNIT IS VERY QUIET! THE SHINY STAINLESS INTERIOR LOOKS GREAT AND CLEAN, IT ALSO HAS A CLEAN SMELL AFTER A WASH CYCLE HAS COMPLETED. THE DISH RACKS LOAD EASILY AND THE TOP RACK IS ADJUSTABLE FOR THOSE DEEP PLASTIC STORAGE CONTAINERS AND TALL GLASSES. I USUALLY LOAD PLATES, PANS AND SILVERWARE ON THE LOWEST RACK, I REALLY LIKE THE SILVERWARE BASKET THAT CAN HOLD LONGER UTENSILS ,AND KNIVES. EVERYTHING COMES OUT CLEAN AND SHINEY !

Whisper Quiet

When my GE dishwasher decided that 15 years was long enough to live, I had no choice but to replace it. After consulting Consumer Reports, Kitchen Aid was on my short list of potential replacements. I am thrilled with my Kitchen Aid. It does an excellent job cleaning glassware, dishes and silverware and does so quietly. No more running the dishwasher only when we sleep now - we love it! It also means a great deal that it is made entirely in the USA.

I bought this after reading the reviews. I will say that it is quiet and it does get the dishes clean. The problem I have with it is that my regular size dinner plates do not stand upright in it without the spinner that sprays the water hitting them. Due to this factor, the plates must tip forward and take up much more space. As a matter of fact, most of my large bowls do not fit in it either. I can only get about 60% of the dishes in this dishwasher, that I previously got in my old Bosch. I wash many more dishes by hand now. I told my husband the first time this dishwasher breaks, I will NOT let him fix it. We will buy a new one. Moral of the story, no matter what brand you are looking at, take your dishes with you to the store and put them in the dishwasher you are looking at before you make a purchase!!

Recently installed to replace a similar KitchenAid dishwasher which, after 7 years needed more work than it was worth. So far the new one is fine. I hope it lasts longer than the last one, as it was expensive. It is quiet and seems to clean well.

Dishwasher's Blue LED light failed just outside warranty per

I bough this in March of 2014 and I always had to use the tough or Prowash to get anything clean. To top it all, the blue LED light that lights up when the DW is running is now out. The kitchenaid website is terrible. It does not recognize Kitchenaid's model#. In addition if you click in Live Chat nothing happens. I have sent 2 form e-mails with no reply.
