Kitchenaid Dishwasher

Disappointed in N.C. 10/31/2019

The dishwasher was installed 3 weeks ago but I'm having a problem with it not emptying completely at the end of the cycle. There is always a puddle of soapy water left at the bottom of the dishwasher. Called the Kitchenaid repair line and I was told they would be out today. Then I received a phone call from the repair company saying they can't come out until a week from today. I am a bit disappointed because I have always trusted my Kitchenaid appliances. I guess things happen. On a positive note, the dishes are clean and the silverware is, too. It's very quiet and you hardly know that it's running.

We have had the dishwasher for two months and we cannot get over how quiet it is. At first we could not tell when it was running! We've had mixed results when using the third top rack, and the utensil dividers don't allow for longer items. We have removed one of the dividers. The machine sounds as if it is starting and stopping during the first few minutes of a cycle, and that has taken some getting used to. I installed the unit, and I was hoping it would "slide right in", but I was disappointed to learn I had to run out and buy a special connection fitting. Luckily, the local Ace had it. Overall an excellent machine and we are very happy with the style, features, and performance. The dishes are clean again!

Super Quiet, I Couldn't Be Happier

This is the most wonderful dishwasher I have ever had. I thought I would have to get the very top of the line ($1200 +) to get a dishwasher this quiet and one that gets the dishes sparkling clean. But this model retail price was less than $900, and on top of that it was on sale as well. I have a condo with open floor plan and my dining table is all that separates the dishwasher from the living room. Dishwasher is so quiet that the first time I used it I was constantly going to check the dishwasher to be sure it was running. It matches my KitchenAid refrigerator, which is also a fantastic fridge. Next major purchase will be matching range and microwave.

I purchased this dishwasher along with three other Kitchen Aid appliances to update and replace 17-year-old appliances. It's very quiet, does a great job of cleaning the dishes, and looks great in my kitchen. I was disappointed when I received the dishwasher as I thought I had ordered the model with the "china" cycle which had stemware holders and could do a milder wash cycle, as I have tons of china and crystal that I would like to have put in the dishwasher. As for use for everyday dishes, it's excellent and very quiet. My dishes are not standard shape, so holding place settings for 10 definitely not possible--more like 4 to six at max. You can barely tell it is running, even standing right next to it. All in all I like the look of my new kitchen appliance package and hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Sleek, easy to install, great features!

I bought this about a month ago, it was super easy to install. I love that it has an utensil or knife top tray as well as two baskets and the silverware caddy. The stainless steel handle makes opening and closing it a breeze. The buttons on top of the door instead of on the front make it aesthetically pleasing. It's super quiet, cleans all the residue off, drys it. It holds so much more than I expected.

This is my 3rd Kitchen Aid dishwasher and was very disappointed with the controls. I do not like the fact that I must select my cycles before I shut the door. Secondly, the racks are very "flimsy" and do not work smoothly on the tracks. Also the added knife slot is not included on this model, not very convenient. Also, in 2012 I renovated my kitchen with all K.A. appliances. So far I replaced the dishwasher and Microwave oven. My cooktop is not looking too good. My refrigerator is showing signs of deteriation. my next renovation will not include K.A.

Gets the dishes clean!

Bought about a month ago and installed it. At first the heat cycle wouldn't kick on and found out that sometimes the dishwasher needs to be reset from the factory. No big deal. I also like the top pull out rack for small things or sharp objects. It can be removed if more room on the top rack is needed. It's very quiet compared to my old dishwasher that was about 10 years old. The control panel is very intuitive and easy to use. Making cycle selections is very straight forward and the LED lights by the buttons are very bright and sharp looking. So far it works great.

My dishes are the cleanest they have ever been!!

I think we've had this dishwasher for at least 6 weeks. I've never had such a quality dishwasher. I love that third little rack. I didn't think I'd ever use it, but I do daily. My dishes come out so very clean. My glasses are really sparkling! I love the location of the silverware rack and the size is awesome. The dishwasher is so quiet-love it! I've never had such a high quality dishwasher!! I love the front handle on it. It makes it look very cool!! It is truly amazing.

Beautiful and amazingly quiet!

I have been using this dishwasher for two months now and I am very happy with it. My dishwasher is in a small open concept area and it can be running and you don't hear it at all. It's the quietest one I have ever had! My dishes are always clean and it has the best dryer. There are two adjustable racks and a third is removable so lots of cleaning options. I bought the white and it's definately the nicest white on the market. Very satisfied with this product!

Very quiet, but even with rinse aid its wet inside

We have had the dishwasher about a month. Its incredibly quiet and the dishes are clean and dry. However, the tub is wet even with maximum rinse aid. If we do not leave the door open to allow this to evaporate, a musty smell develops in the dishwasher. Time will tell if KitchenAid remedies this problem. Our recommendation to a friend would be qualified by this problem.

Quiet features quality

We just purchased this new machine and so far we are very happy with it. It is quiet, the dishes are clean, and everything seems to be working OK. I do not like the handle on the front because it sticks out too far.

Great dishwasher

I have had this machine for about a month now. It is super quiet, gets dishes clean, snd holds a lot of dishes. This machine has a full seal between the washer and cabinets, neither of my last 2 (Bosch and a GE) had this. So far, this is my favorite dishwasher.

Wow! A third level rack!

I just purchased and I am thrilled with the product - - to top it off, I just discovered the third level rack! Great for kitchen plastics, food processor blades and the like. Can't believe how much this dishwasher holds for 1 wash. It's also VERY quiet.
