I bought this dishwasher to go into our new home. I had replaced all of the appliances in our old home with Kitchenaid SS apps and wound up getting the same models in black stainless at our new home. I love this dishwasher with the light inside. I wish KA would have made it to where the light would come on during the wash cycle. Unfortunately the light only comes on when you open the door or when the wash cycle is over. Cleans well, the ProWash cycle is very lengthy but cleans well.

What a great dishwasher.. until 5 days before 2 years of use. Started making an extremely audible "humming" noise. Seems to be a failing circulator pump. Would cost 1/3rd of the cost of the dishwasher cost to have it repaired professionally. We researched like crazy before we made this purchase and really liked it. For the cost of this you can buy 2 decent other dishwashers that would easily have a combined lifespan of better than 2 years. Can't possibly recommend this product.

Very pleased so far. The myriad of features was a bit intimidating at first, but after I got used to it, I am plasantly surprised. This is my 3rd dishwasher in the past 40 years.

Great, But Beware!!

Purchased this unit based on options, appearance, and overall performance. It arrived in apparent good condition, but while I was preparing to install it, I noticed that the control panel on top of the unit was not properly seated on the right side. Now, I had the option to return the unit, but I opted to simply reseat the control panel.
I should receive compensation for doing KitchenAid's Quality Control's job! Anyway, the dishwasher works well. Not as quiet as stated, but still nice. It cleans well, but drying is hit and miss. I think the drying issue centers more around how the unit is loaded than anything to do with its design.
We have tried nearly all the various options, and the unit performs very well. Love the lighted interior. The window is essentially useless, since the light turns off immediately after you close the door. My only comment on the window is that it complements the unit's appearance, and I think that was what KitchenAid was actually directing its marketing strategy toward: it's all about appearance and not so much about functionality.
If you want something that looks really nice and performs well, KitchenAid is worth a look. Just plan on returning your purchase one, two, or possibly three times before you actually receive a unit that isn't damaged. And when I say damaged, they ship from the factory damaged!! The damage doesn't occur during shipment, as many other reviewers will tell you.

Very impressed with how quiet this model is when running. Cleans well and controls are convenient. I would like it to dry more thoroughly. I am also a bit unsure of how durable the flap over the soap dispenser will be. It seems less sturdy than the older model but only time will tell.

Bought this a month ago and it's my second kitchen aid dishwasher I have had, and I will never own a different brand! The best heavy cleaning dishwasher that exist! The light inside is a luxury that I can't believe I lived without. Top notch product all the way around!

We've had this dishwasher about 3 weeks and are pleased with the cleanliness of the dishes, ease of operation, flexibility of loading options, and quietness. While i like the light inside and the window i would not have sought out this model. Purchased as a brand new open box at Best Buy and am happy with our new KitchenAid.

This replaces an older KitchenAid that served us well. Cleans very thoroughly and you can barely perceive that it is running. The window is handy for knowing when the dishes are done and also matches the windows on the electric range and microwave.

Our old KitchenAid stopped working afrer 15 plus years. I checked out the Web Site and knew what I wanted to purchase when I went to Best Buy. I had the appliance installed. We are in wonder on how quiet it operates. There are two short comings. One- operating instructions that came with the unit are not helpful. Two - the KitchenAid Web site does not have an operating manuel or any videos to help customers. The site does provide a parts list which I will never use. In total, we are learning how to operate a fine dishwasher that I know we made the correct decision to buy a new unit.

This dishwasher I work of art. It's very well designed and beautiful in the black stainless. This dishwasher is so quiet I never know it's on even when I'm listening for it and standing right in front of it.

This dishwasher is fantastic...you can't hear it run, the dishes come out sparkling, and totally dry...even all the plastic. We've only had it a few weeks but so far we are totally happy with it. It also looks really nice .... very attractive. Do wish it had the third rack...but I guess you can't have everything.

I never knew I could love a dishwasher

We picked out all KitchenAid appliances for our kitchen renovation and couldn't be happier. Every person we've had over has commented on how elegant the black stainless steel looks. We've only used the rinse cycle and express cycle so far, but even the express cycle (runs 57 minutes) cleans the dishes SO WELL. I don't have to rinse before putting them in. The other cycle can take 2-3 hours, and I haven't found a need to use those longer cycles yet--I'd rather run it less and use less water. It's also crazy quiet. You have to stand right next to it to even know it's on. So happy with this dishwasher and I would buy it again! It looks nice AND it works well.
