Our old refrigator was a Kitchen-Aid, approx. 22 yrs. old. Good machine-finally gave out. This new one is adequate but has a couple of poor design features-the double doors only open 3/4 of the way making it difficult to access the interior. Also removing and replacing shelves for cleaning is doubly so. The water dispenser feature is always nice but having it inside means the door is open half the time, especially with kids. I bought this frig because it needed to fit in the available space. I noticed that 90% of refrigorators in the marketplace today are huge.

I bought this fridge last month and when i went to have the water hooked up, it leaked all over the inside of the filter unit. Apparently according to the repair guy the connection tubing it kinks quite often. I'm still waiting for the part, as it is not kept in stock. The rest of the fridge is great so far. We will still have to test the water and Ice dispensers when they are hooked up. More to follow

We had our list of "we wants" and "we needs" and this fridge gave us what we were looking for. What really sold us was the moveable shelf. Also, refrigerators have been around for a long time, and it was nice to see a new twist to an old product. I have to admit the theatrical lighting inside has its own soothing qualities. Who would have thought?

We had the water on the outside of the refrigerator and didn't like that so this was the only one that would fit in our space and had water inside. We love that idea and the ice in the freezer, but having trouble with not enough taller shelf space. Still working on it

I love that the water dispenser is on the inside of the fridge and out of reach of little hands. Lots of storage options and adjustable shelving makes organizing contents a breeze. I also love having the freezer below the fridge.

I have had my Standard Depth French Door refrigerator for about 4 months now and I am very happy with it. The style is very convenient, great lighting and the size of the refrigerator fits perfectly in my kitchen. And it has a water filter so I know the drinking water is clean as well as cold.

We like everything about the frig, except one thing. There isn't much "stand-up" space for bottles (i.e soda, bottled water, etc.).

I bought this fridge 8 months ago. Generally I am happy. The fridge works well and is very quiet. The one negative is the face plate at the bottom of the fridge. It only holds on with plastic pinch clips. On my fridge, the clips do not line up with the fasteners under the fridge. The bottom plate keeps falling off, and given that it is only thin plastic, there is nothing to hold it in place.

I love the fridge, but within 2 weeks of owning it, the ice maker froze up and we had to have it repaired. It leaked water all over my floor at least 3 times.

WOW , what can I say . The water from the fridge is cold and not luke warm , ice maker is great. Lots of room in freezer . I like the idea that some shelves can be made shorter . Like the French doors. Its perfect and is what I wanted in a Fridge .Very Happy with it :)

We replaced our 4 year old side by side refrigerator with this one and I absolutely love it. It is so easy getting items in and out of it. The clear view bins make it so easy to find what you are looking for. It is a bit small, but due to the space we have to put a refrigerator in, it is working well for just my husband and I. The freezer holds a lot more than I had expected. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone looking to buy a new one!

Because we've had good performance from our KitchenAid dishwasher and microwave, we purchased the black French door refrigerator and a matching KitchenAid range. Although this is the midsize refrigerator, it has ample storage space and great visibility of the contents.

This refrigerator works so well for me it's a little bit small im the interior but I knew that going in The upper shelves are wonderful however if you have a large items such as half-gallon milk and/or orange juice and such it's not rnough room Love the lower freezer

Not only beautiful but very functional for a busy kitchen. Love the water dispenser inside the fridge instead of on the outside...especially with a curious 2 year old!! Every time I open this product, I get a smile on my face.

We've been using the new refrigerator for a few weeks now. Still getting used to the new configuration. The 2 sliding back shelves end up wasting space for us. We would have preferred adjustable shelves. Overall, we love the look of this refrigerator. We also like having the freezer on the bottom. It is nice to open the doors and be able to see into the refrigerator at our eye level.

I bought Kitchenaid on the assumption I was a well designed, customizable, and reliable refrigerator. I'm assuming it will be reliable, but disappointed in being able to customize my refrigerator. Temperature control: I have 5 lights, the default is the middle light, I can raise and lower those. Not sure what one light will give me or at what temperature I'm currently at. Yes, I may have to put a thermometer in it to get the temperature. Shelving: Came with 2 shelves and 3 shelf tracks. I had to remove one shelf so I had enough room to put my larger, taller containers. Door shelving: Similar situation. Can not adjust bins to easily accommodate various sized containers. Then there's the "Fresh Bin", I have no idea with to do with that. I takes up a lot of room and is mostly wasted space. If you think you can remove it and put in a bin in it's place, you can't, a bin will not go in that location. I'm currently putting about 6 cans of soda in it, for lack of anything better to put in it. The door do not open 180 degrees. As a result, if you want to remove any of the 3 bins in the fridge, it's a juggling act with the bins in the door.

Recently upgraded from a single door. needed a little time to get used to the layout of double doors. Now cant live without it. the freezer on the bottom is great. Never thought that having a built in water filter would be great but it is.Also the ice maker is very handy to have. overall I am very pleased with the fridge.

Very happy with our purchase. Very bright inside and spacious and quiet. The bins slide in and out very easily, the water dispenser is great and ice maker is a nice feature to have. I also enjoy the roll out freezer. It is spacious and smartly designed. This is a welcome addition to our newly remodeled kitchen

Bought this several months ago. The fridge works fine mechanically and runs relatively quietly. Disappointed in 2 things. First it is difficult to level so the right hand door does not seem to shut (seal) as tightly as the left hand door so sometimes remains slightly ajar unless you remember to give it an extra little push. The firm we bought it from does not provide at home support so other than a salesperson trying to describe how to level the doors over the phone you are left on your own to try to figue this out. Not easy with 3 different areas to adjust. The second issue is the design of the shelving. In most case have to open both doors to open some of the shelves. Would have been better to balance the shelf design so that you never have to open both doors at the same time.

This fridge is a great addition to our kitchen. I love the bottom freezer and it was a lot larger than I expected. My 6 ft 4" husband loves the shelves on top as he can reach things easily now. The only drawback I see is that the vegetable drawer and fruit drawers are different sizes. Would like a larger fruit drawer (make both the same size). The stainless steel is great too and doesn't show smudges easily.

We replaced our existing fridge and were unsure whether to get a French door model. So glad we did. Due to its design the food is clearly visible. The only complaint is we find we can't keep a large milk container in the door compartment because it spoils before we can use it all.

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. Nothing fits, I have to leave a good portion of the fridge clear for air flow or everything freezes. Not sure what kind of family this fridge would suit. I have had a repairman in my house 5 times. I should never have sold my GE!
