I thought I would be thrilled with this refrigerator when I bought it but when I called to ask about it being so noisy they wouldn't even come out to check it out. Very disappointed - I remodeled with a complete KitchenAid kitchen. Very skeptical now.

Beautiful Fridge

I love my new fridge. We went with black since the appliances where all black in this new house we purchased. And don't regret it at all, the black is so sleek looking, finger prints are not a problem, and it's easy to keep clean. We've purchased KitchenAid in the past and and have always been satisfied with their products.

Too noisy

I bought this about two months ago. Waited for about two weeks for it to be delivered. So I have actually had it about six weeks, the looks & the capacity are great but it when it cycles it is too noisy if you are standing next to it when this happens you cannot carry on a conversation & it has awakened us during the night when it is going through a cycle. I have called the company that we bought it from & they said there is nothing they can do because the cycle frequency range is normal but this refrigerator is one that is listed for being too noisy.

This refrigerator fills not only our kitchen, but also our home with high pitched noise which rarely stops as the unit runs almost continually. It seems more suitable for use in a garage. On the more positive side, it keeps holds refrigerator and freezer temperatures well.

Was not happy that GE broke down after only 13 years. But pleased with most features of KitchenAid. More room in fridge. Bottom freezer that allows big fridge. Well designed fridge and freezer. Don't like position to hold glass for ice and water dispenser to avoid splatters. Told it is to enable filling pitcher, which I rarely do. Difficult to place shelves exactly where I want them. Love the alarm for when door not closed.

Love all the room

My 15-year-old side-by-side died and I needed a new one fast. I did not want a bottom freezer. After going to my local appliance shop and comparing side by side, I bought the bottom freezer. I love it! It's easy to sort items and to keep them in view. I have a lot more room in the refrig part. I love the two veggie bins and the large meat bin. I wish that bin had been divided into two so I would not have to open both doors to open that bin. I really like that the water dispenser lets you know how many ounces you are getting. I also like the icemaker on the door and not taking up room in the freezer. I'm pretty sold on KitchenAid. All of my appliances are KitchenAid and have been for many years.

Great features a bit loud

We bought this fridge a month ago to replace an older side by side that came the house. We love the water and ice dispenser and there's lots of room inside. Our only complaint is the noise level. The ice maker makes a loud humming noise when it's one. Our master bedroom is on the other side of the wall that the fridge is on so I have to turn the ice maker off at nite if I don't want to hear the noise. It's not a huge deal..we are kinda getting used to it.

We love the new KITCHENAIDE French door refrigerator. What caught my eye immediately was the LED lights on the inside. It has so much room, with the adjustable shelves. Very easy to clean with the nice glass shelves. The freezer has so much room. We like the special compartment for several pizza in the freezer. The nice sliding shelf is a very good feature.

Get it right?

On my 3rd refrigerator in 2 and 1/2 years of this exact model. 1st one bad compressor, 2nd a bad wiring harness. Neither problem worth fixing nor repairable per corporate. Will say that KitcehnAide did replace with new unit in both instances, and started the warranty over with each replacement. Nice of them to do that but replacement process in lenghty ( can be up to 3 weeks ) Thank goodness we have a "extra refrigerator in our garage to use while waiting on replacements. Love the features, functionality, etc., just hope this one lasts!?

This refrigerator is so much better that what we had previously, it makes me want to bow to it. The ability to adjust the shelves is wonderful. They are easy to adjust and above all, the drawers make storage of different types of foods easy to locate. The freezer drawer has lots of room and also is compartmentalized for ease in storage of different food products.

Not what we expected

My husband and I built a new home and bought all new KitchenAid appliances. We are happy with our dishwasher, double ovens, convection microwave, and beverage cooler but this refrigerator has been a huge disappointment. It is surprisingly loud at all times of the day and the freezer is the worst - when it's pulled out, it is very creaky and does not pull out smoothly. If we had the chance to buy again, we would not select this unit.

We have had this refrigerator for about a month now and I am loving it. My only complaint is the ice maker is a lightweight. This refrigerator meets and exceeds our needs, but if we entertained more, we would have to stock up on the ice. Also, be aware with these large units, they don't get through doorways easily!

This fridge has a ton of room, and everything slides out with ease for cleaning. My food stays cold. I like that I can pull out the ice maker for easy emptying, and that it is in the door. My only dislikefis how s.l.o.w.l.y water is dispensed!
