We waited for KitchenAid to have a 29 cu ft refrigerator before updating the appliances in our kitchen. The other KitchenAId appliances have been great. This was a disaster. I usually do not buy anything in its first year of production and should have followed that on this refrigerator. After 3 years we are on the 4th of this model. The first was noisy and the ice maker had problems and my local dealer replaced it. The second one was no better and completely died one morning. KitchenAid arranged for my local dealer to replace it immediately. Then after about a year, KitchenAid replaced it again at their initiative to test it. So we are now using the 4th of this same model. It is still very noisy and the ice maker leaks occasionally. I do not believe the model is still made and it should not be. Thankfully I bought the extended warranty.

Loved it--for 9 months

I purchased this model because of its size. Apparently its serial number is in a bracket that has had failures in the compressors or a valve between the frig and freezer. No one disclosed that to me. At 9 months, sure enough, the ice maker quit; 5 days later I came home and found everything in the freezer thawed out; next day the frig failed. That was 3 weeks ago. I had to call in twice to get service--the first svc man refused to work on this model because of that exact problem. The second service man is very professional but lives 120 miles away. We are still waiting for parts. I've used a lot of Kitchenaid products in houses I build, but their products are absolutely not built as well as they used to be.

WE bought this refrigerator one month ago adn it is great!! I love the French doors, adn the extra drawer inside! So much room adn so easy to get at everything! the freezer is great too !! I love the Pizza part in front... we store other things in the space and love it! Super design! Ice machine terrific!

We are VERY pleased with our new Kitchenaid refrigerator. Trading in our 20 year old refrig gave us a chance to upgrade, and that we did with this model. We are thrilled with the lighting and the storage space. Our only slight disappointment is with the size of the ice cubes. And working with Jetson Appliances in Stuart, FL, was a great experience!

I love my new fridge. Had a side-by-side before and didn't like it from the day I got it. Now I can find things in my fridge. Just one drawback is the ice keeper. Due to the self defrost feature (I think it's very efficient) the ice evaporates away faster than I can use it.

The only reason why I gave a4 star rating is because kitchen aid provides one preserva catridge for 2 crisper bins. I think with the cost of this refrigerator, they should provide two.

Had it for about a month now and it is wonderful, the ice maker is so small but it makes perfect ice, and since the icemaker is not taking up a chunk of space in the refrigerator it seems larger than the Samsung french door unit we had. It is a little loud but everythi g works perfect. 2 thumbs up from me!

I purchased this fridge in August 2014. The lighting is simply AWESOME inside. Once the delivery men left, I noticed a slight dent in the freezer door. I immediately called Kitchen Aid and set up an appt. for a replacement. A few weeks later a new door was delivered to my home and a repairman came and replaced it. He also replaced a slightly dented water tray and we noticed rust forming underneath. I immediately called Kitchen Aide again. A few weeks later a new fridge door was sent and a repairman came to put on the new door. It's November and my fridge is finally free of needing any repairs. I was planning to replace all my appliances to match the fridge, but now I'm not sure if I've made the right choice in brands. I'm happy with the customer service and repairs, but I can't say I'm 100% satisfied with the Kitchen Aide product. I'm a bit reluctant to purchase this brand again due to the fact that rust formed after just 2 months of ownership!

Up-graded from a side-by-side to the French door with the bottom freezer. More convenient to use and holds more items. Ice maker and water dispenser operate more efficiently.
