Seems to take a longer to make ice. We do like the size of the ice cubes, about half the size of traditional. Compared to our old fridge it seems that the water from the dispenser does not seem as cold. I feel this is due to having separate lines for water and ice. Where our old fridge had one line and it ran through the freezer section for the ice and then to dispenser. Easily overcome by just adding a little bit of ice before filling with water. Also love the extra space in the freezer with ice maker on door.

Whoopee! My first new refrigerator in 15 years!

When we moved five years ago, I left behind my old refrigerator and "inherited" a brand I never liked. I'd had my old one ten years at my old house. The "new" one broke almost immediately, requiring a repair person. We decided to get all new appliances that should work for a long time. I love my new Kitchen Aid. I like that bottles fit under the water and ice maker. The food fits better in the freezer. We are freezing more leftovers, making life easier.

Nice refrigerator - the handles are great! My only complaint is the water dispenser (ice goes everywhere if you dont hold the glass to the top of the dispenser, water "button" (or whatever it's called) is difficult to hold in.

I really wanted a counter depth side by side but it wouldn't work with our wall. I'm very pleased with the inside layout and performance, but don't understand why KitchenAid didn't put the print shield finish on the exterior, especially being the most used appliance in the kitchen by everyone. I find it difficult to keep fingerprint free. Why not put the Print Shield on every appliance if they have the technology?
