I had to get a New Refrigerator Quickly,! My compressor went out on mine. So I decided to go with KitchenAid Products, they have reliable quality products. My only problem with my refrigerator that I purchase is I can't move the shelf's to where I want to in the middle. Example I don't want All my crispers on the bottom, I'm tall an a older person who don't like to do All that bending over to get items.

I've had this refrigerator 6 months and I've had to do 2 repairs to the ice maker. First problem was a wire that broke causing the ice tray to not spin. I believe the tray actually made contact with the wire and caused it to wear through the wire over time. The second issue was when the ice tray stopped breaking the ice out of the tray to dump into the reservoir. This required a service tech and replacement part so I utilized the warranty process. I will day I am happy with the warranty service and the company they sent to perform the repair. This ice machine does not produce ice very quickly even in max ice mode. Other than those issues the refrigerator is great.

We bought this less than a year ago. had four service calls ( under warranty fortunately). Three were for the same item. Other than that we had to spend $100+ after we got it for another shelf which for the price of the refrigerator seems like they should have included enough shelving.

This side-by-side refrigerator is quite spacious. Very efficient is both compartments...frozen and chiller. Water and ice maker are also very efficient. Drawers slide open and shut without any hangups. Quite happy with this purchase after two months.

Problem with sensor after 5 months!!!

Our refrig was installed in May and in October it was noticeably warming. The repair came out and said the sensor had to be replaced. There was ice buildup so cold air could not get through. We were very disappointed as the brand is supposed to be high end and it was pricey!

We bought this fridge after a remodel. There is a lot of space in the freezer, and the fridge is ok. The shelves are not adjustable. If anything touches the interior walls of the fridge, condensation and/or ice appear. The drawers and shelves are made of good quality material. The dispensers are ok. Ice will fly out and have a mind of its own. I really like the auto dispense feature; however, cold water isn't really a thing with this fridge. Also, the ice bin does not hold much.

Broken from day 1

I bought this refrigerator from Best Buy mostly for its slightly smaller dimensions that fit my limited space and for the supposed superior quality of Kitchen Aid appliances. Unfortunately, the unit never produced any cold air from the beginning. Also the air vent that directs cold air to the ice maker was dislocated from the upper wall and could not be reattached so I fixed this myself with strong double sided tape. Incredibly poor quality control. Best Buy was terrific and I replaced the Kitchen Aid with a refrigerator made by another company which was about equally priced and this one works wonderfully.

I bought the then-current model of this refrigerator about six years ago. We loved it; the styling was excellent and it did a wonderful job keeping everything fresh and cool. We went overseas for two years & left it unplugged, so for two of six years it wasn't in use. When we came back to the US, it developed a leak which we had serviced a few times. Finally, we broke down and bought a new one. The new one is almost as nice, however we prefer the real metal trim on the old shelves and the softer lighting of the old model Still, the features are great & we really like the way it looks. The ice machine in the new version is MUCH improved, as are the handles. Overall, we bought this again because even after reviewing competitors, no one really comes close on styling, performance and price overall. Hopefully this will last longer than six year. I remember buying a fridge as a family when I was seven. I am 44 now. That fridge still works. With over 35yrs of technological advancements following that era, a six years life cycle is....poor.

We bought this refrigerator a few weeks ago to replace our 26 year old Amana, which still worked very well but the ice-maker broke. I miss our Amana ice-maker which made larger ice cubes and the ice bin was larger. The smaller ice cubes are O.K. but not as good. It is good to have the ice and water dispenser from the outside of the door, I will say.

I wouldn't purchase anything but kitchenaid. Quality is #1. The only thing that I really miss from the previous kitchenaid side by side is there are no trays for pop, beer cans. The last side by side had 2 trays on the door.

The initial unit had a defect in the ductwork to the ice maker. Would not make ice, and i had to tape this in place. Water dispenser then stopped for a few days, and started working again. They sent a tech out to repair, but he was unable to. Second unit arrived, with over 3/8 misalignment in doors. Sent back. 3rd unit arrived, again with misaligned doors. 4 unit arrived, and doors work. Overall we are now satisfied with the unit, but I have serious concerns over quality control.

5/3/2016 I purchased over $7000 in Kitchen-aid appliances. Luckily I opted for the premium 5 yrs extended warranties. The oven started to not heat up properly for the last several months. I just dealt with it. A few months later the fridge stopped working completely (sometime in mid 2017 the ice maker stopped working). On 7/6/2019 I called Geek Squad to service the oven and fridge. Had to take off work 2 separate days. Turns out, Geek Squad warranty service doesn't service refrigerators. So I had to deal with a third party on the fridge. Oven was diagnosed, new element was ordered, installed on another day off work, works great. 1st fridge service call, 7/11/19...tech said there's probably a leak in the refrigerant system...another appointment would need to be set up to get a "qualified" tech to check it out. 2nd service call, 7/24/19...(4th day off work) tech arrived with some parts to fix it. I was confused because the first tech never diagnosed the problem. But whatever. After some time, this tech said the wrong parts were ordered, he would then make sure the correct parts were ordered, and I would have to set up another day for repair. That brings us to today, the third attempt, 8/7/19...After a no-show for several hours, I called Geek Squad. They transferred me to their "special forces" dept. I was told no one showed up today because their records show that the fridge was repaired on 7/24. They then set me up with yet another third party repair company (A&E - Sears Home Services) to come out and diagnose it on 8/20/19. A few hours later I called back to demand a new fridge. I should hear back within 3-5 days on this request. If the appliances were better quality, I wouldn't be in this situation. If the service techs were better qualified, I wouldn't be in this situation. And the Best Buy I purchased it from are either useless or their hands are tied. In the last 3 years I have spent over $23,000 at Best Buy. I'll never step foot through the doors again. This is my first and last experience with Kitchen-aid.

Needed to be repaired after 89 days. The ice maker is pathetic, it barely makes any ice - it is designed to make 8 tiny cubes every 2-3 hours - we actually have started using old fashioned ice cube trays; absolutely ridiculous. There is no way to check the temperature of the freezer or the refrigerator; so we have started using an old fashioned thermometer - and wow is the Kitchenaid inconsistent! There is no way to check the life-status of the water filter you just have to wait to be alerted when it gets to 20%. Filters are $48. Plus, worth saying again, it needed to be repaired after 89 days. I've tried to return it to the store but they say that can't. Kitchenaid - will you please stand behind your name and allow me to return this inferior product???

I've owned it for a month and have had many issues, doors not closing correctly, water freezing and leaking from dispenser. Broken drawer when first unboxed.

12 repair visits in 2 1/2 years

The worst fridge I've owned, especially for the money. I've had multiple repairs and each one took multiple trips to fix. First, the water filter wouldn't stay in. That took 2 visits to fix. The casing for the water filter was apparently not placed far enough back. Then, the water dispenser dripped water after you pulled the glass away. That took 4 visits and 2 repairs to fix. That problem caused water to overflow the drip tray and leak out under the drip tray. That etched white into the faux stainless steel plastic piece. Kitchen Aid didn't want to pay for that because it was "cosmetic" even though it was caused by a mechanical problem. Then, water would come out of the water dispenser when I was dispensing ice. That took 4 visits to repair by replacing a part that cost $300. Then, 9 months after that part was replaced, it went bad again! I've had the technician out twice, but they can't get the right part for some reason. So, one more repair, at least, coming up. I am so unhappy.

DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!

Purchased this refrigerator 2 years ago and it no longer works and service techs do not seem to know how to repair it. A certified service tech has been working with Whirlpool to try to fix the problem for the last 4 months. It is still not fixed. An iceberg forms behind vegetable drawers and the temp in refrigerator goes up to 60 degrees and food is spoiled. When defrosted it will work for awhile and is forming another iceberg, but you won't see it until it comes through vent behind chiller drawers. Looks great, BUT DOES NOT WORK!! Meanwhile, you are left without a refrigerator for weeks on end until parts come in and they try something else. I wish I never purchased this refrigerator. We have had other refrigerators and have never had a problem in over 30 years of homeownership.

We bought this almost a month ago. It performs fairly well. We have yet to find an adequate way to clean the stainless steel exterior. We had to pay extra for another shelf for the door which we feel should have been provided. Shelves not as sturdy as we'd expected. Because the door hinges have changed since the last time we bought a fridge, we were surprised to discover we cannot open the fridge door sufficiently to remove the lower bins for cleaning.

For a higher end fridge, the fit and finish aren't that great. There are 3 areas that stick out. First, the ice maker is loud. The water refill part is much louder than the 20 year old kitchenAid I replaced. The corners have a slight indentations that are very noticeable from different angles. This is a factor defect, not delivery related damage. And third, you can actually see the spray foam over fill at the top of the freezer door. I had to use a razor to remove as much as I could. The over fill could be causing the bowing. Overall it has nice features but the little things on an expensive appliance matter

Previously I had a KitchenAid french-door model. The new spacing is good and seems better in freezer. I did notice the water dispenser doesn't get as cold and provide as much cold water.

Ordered in September, delivery scheduled for mid November . Only with a series of phone calls to retailer and kitchen aid did I finally get it 6 WEEKS Late! Then in May it broke and 2 trips and 3 weeks later...it finally got repaired. Very disappointed!!!

This refrigerator replaces a similar KitchenAid we had for 19 years. It runs quietly and cools well. Only complaints are that you have to run 4 or 5 ounces of water before you get really cold water from the dispenser and the shelves are no longer adjustable.

A beautiful and solid design with great features. My favorite is the water pre-set amount fill. It looks beautiful in our kitchen and the interior lighting is great. Very spacious. The ice maker works great. I love that is on the door and opens up space in the actual freezer. The perfect purchase for our family of four.

Great fridge. It is very sleek and well designed. I knew time I saw it, that it was the one I was going to buy. The lighting inside is great compared to my old fridge. I love the ice maker being integrated into the door allowing for another shelf inside the fridge. I also love having the pull out drawers in the fridge. On the fridge side, I love the side door containers , the amount of shelving and also the lighting as well.

When we were shopping for a new side by side fridge (French door ones just done have enough freezer space) we knew this was the perfect one to fit the look and feel of our other stainless appliances that happen to be Ge profile and are great. We couldn't be more pleased. The only downside might be that the interior is a little too bright :)

I have had this refrigerator since late March and I am very pleased with it. I was concerned about all the negative reviews and the fact that it is NOT fingerprint resistant, but I have no complaints. Ice bucket is in the door and makes a gracious plenty for our family of four. Love the features. Cleans up fairly easily.
