Worst Dishwasher I've ever had

This is by far the worst dishwasher I've ever had. The control panel from the beginning was difficult to intuitively use, and has always been so sensitive that anyone leaning against it mistakenly stops or starts a cycle. After a year or two, the top part where the control panel is popped out from using this as the way to open the dishwasher, then things would come loose and the dishwasher would not work. My husband fixed it numerous times, then finally glued it in place but it does not look right. Now the top wheels and guides for the top rack have just completely fallen apart and the top rack just falls down off of them. Time for another dishwasher. Which I had never seen this one. Bought it about 6 years ago, and it has been a pain the whole time.

We've had this dishwasher for about four years. It cleans good but is a nightmare to use. The lights flash and can't be cleared. The silverware cage is mounted on the side instead of the front and has to be pulled out to use the full size of the cage. The layout of the drawers is awful and doesn't make the best use of the space. I will never buy another Kitchenaid again.

We bought this modle about 4 years ago. Thankfully we bought the extended warrenty, because we have had to have it repaired 4 times and it's acting up again. The store we bought it from says it's not a lemon and they just keep reapiring it. It's always something with the control panel. It's frustrating and inconvienient. I haven't found a good brand for a dishwasher. This is our 3rd dishwasher in this house.

Three years ago we bought a brand of dishwasher other than kitchenaid. It did not last very long and it did not clean well. Our kitchenaid dishwasher cleans the dishes thoroughly, is quiet and has all the features we need. A want is a digital readout to tell the amount of time per wash but we are learning these times quickly and it is not really necessary. We are thankful for our kitchenaid.

I am pleased with my KitchenAid dishwasher for the most part. I like that it runs quietly and my dishes come out very clean and the large tub. Not used to the controls being so sensitive. if you brush against them just a little the dishwasher starts.

This dishwasher replaced a 12.5 year old Whirlpool Unit, which has worked great for many years. With new government mandates on energy efficiency and water usage, I was a bit concerned with how a new machine might perform. Unit was built in December 2013, installed in February 2014 and is used exclusively with Finish PowerBall Tablets and Finish Jet Dry Rinshing Agent. After three months of steady use, I am overall very impressed with this machine. It is very quiet, gets dishes beautifully clean, and has a great deal more capacity than the unit it replaced. The stainless steel interior and water jet on top are nice features. As stated in the User Manual, for proper and complete drying a rinsing aid is essential. I would recommend the control lock, when the not in use, as the controls are very sensitive. The upper rack seems a bit under-supported by the sliding mechanism, especially when full and at full extension, but still it seems to work just fine. I am pleased and would recommend this dishwasher.

I purchased this dishwasher and am very pleased with it. Installation was easy. It is almost "silent" when running. If you follow the loading instructions, it is very easy to accommodate several place settings. The only con is the heated dry cycle. I use the rinse aid, but there is still a little moisture on the dishes and cups when completed. Easy to operate. Thumbs up!

Bought this dishwasher back in December. Relatively quiet. Needs Rinse Aid added or your dishes will be soaked. Buttons on front can be sensitive so you probably want to use the Control Lock. All in all, not bad for the price.

I love the excellent quality of my KitchenAid dishwasher. The interior is very large. It seemed that whenever I brushed up against the outdoor controls, once in a while the dishwasher would start by itself. I was a bit disappointed with this until I called Support and was told the "Control Lock" button would prevent this from happening. I absolutely love the look and quality of my 4 new KitchenAid appliances.

We selected this model based on the positive reviews and preferred the flat front to comparable models with a handle. The first cycle produced spotting on all of the contents despite the fact we have a water softener system. Cycles 2 and 3 produced better results when we included the RinseAid suggested by the manufacturer. The onset of cycle 4 resulted in a tripped breaker due to a short in the power supply. Perhaps this was caused by poor installation but after a repairman came, the machine still will not retain power. Compounding our frustration is the fact that in addition to unloading this unit twice, we are now waiting yet again for a repairman. It would seem that a brand new unit that was creating this much trouble with such little use would receive more discerning and timely attention especially bearing the Kitchen Aid brand name.

We have already had this dishwasher serviced for a faulty keypad. We have purchased the extended warranty because we are fearful of future malfunctions. I had a Kitchen-aid years ago, and it was fantastic. No comparison with this one. I keep leaning against the dishwasher, and turning on the buttons. When I lock them, it's extremely difficult to unlock them. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone!

We didn't need all the bells whistles and this fit the bill. We can watch TV without turning up the sound when it is running. The only thing I don't like is when I lean up next to the counter my tummy sometimes turns the machine on. I guess a regular regiment of set ups would take care of that ;-)

It's easy to love this dishwasher. The racks are easy to load and accommodate large casserole dishes and pans. The settings are easy to set. Best of all, it is very quiet and gets the dishes super clean. When the dishwasher is full, I use the normal setting. My water bill shows that I am using less water than if I did the dishes by hand each day.

This dishwasher was expensive, so I expected performance. It washes well, it is very quiet. Only issue is that the electronics failed in less than a year. A cheerful guy came out and replaced them, but it gives me pause that this might occur again, at my expense.

We purchased this unit because of the Kitchen Aid reputation, it is easy to load, especially with the deeper upper rack, it cleans well and it relatively quiet. One drawback is that if you happen to bump it while working in the same counter area the door closes and the unit will start to cycle and we are constantly pushing the cancel/ drain button to stop it. A major annoyance

After being very well pleased with the purchase of a Kitchenaid stainless refrigerator several years ago I decided to try a Kitchenaid dishwasher for the first time this year. I am very pleased with the operation of this dishwasher. I love the stainless inside as my old dishwasher had started to rust a little bit inside. It is a lot more quiet than my old one as well. Cleans like a dream. I also love the utensil rack located along the side and not in the center.
