Good Dishwasher, but...

Purchased 3 years ago and does a good job of cleaning, however the upper tray has been an issue since day one. It keeps jumping out of the track and spilling glassware onto the bottom tray or floor. Hard water of cleveland is not kind to dishwasher, but it still does a decent job. Liquid dish soap has etched all our glassware, so we are in the midst of replacing.

I bought this dishwasher a year ago for the home we were living in and absolutely loved it. Then we sold that home and remodeled the kitchen of our new home and knew I wanted the same dishwasher. This dishwasher gets everything clean and sparkley. I do very little rinsing off of my dishes and pans, yes I put my pans in too. This is a lower priced unit but it has the necesssry cycles and runs very quiet. Also does a great job of drying the dishes. It has the garbage disposal and drying element which are must haves. I recommend this dishwasher to everyone.

This dishwasher works fine. My one dislike is something I have never before experienced with previous dishwashers. Our kitchen is very small and the dishwasher is installed under the counter space where I do most of my food preparation. If I don't remember to push the control lock button and then even slightly bump the front of the dishwasher it will run the cancel drain cycle. I'm still trying to remember to set the control lock button when I empty the dishwasher. Also, you have to really push and hold that button to get it to come on. Since that has never been necessary on any previous dishwasher, I don't understand why it was made necessary on this particular dishwasher.

I brought it home after having a problem with an "off brand". My wife had a friend over who was more surprised than my wife that I would do something so spontaneous. It' a quiet machine that does what it's designed to do. I'm not overly mechanical but I installed it in a reasonable amount of time with no cursing.

I bought this machine to rplace an old Kitchenaid. Several bad features weren't apparent in store: too easy to activate buttons inadvertently by leaning against the washer to get dishes out of a cupboard above. Also top rack is not sturdy...it has fallen off the rails several times when pulling out the top shelf and is very shaky. The book shows loading a set of dishes for 12 --- trying to load a mixed load of bowls, pans, dishes, etc. is difficult...prongs not well spaced --- like it was designed by someone who never loaded a dishwasher, or tested their design. It seems to do a good job of washing the dishes, but they still need to be rinsed, even if washed immediately.

I bought this dishwasher a few months ago. It seems to clean alright, but the buttons are constantly being pushed by my accidentally brushing up against the machine. Even my pets are able to turn it on! Also, it is quite challenging to install for the machine is wider than most dishwashers.

We bought this dish washer, when out old one quit working. It does what it is supposed to do, as in wash dishes. However, it does not seem to have the 'polish' that I would expect from KitchenAid. The drawer is clumsy, moving in and out, and the whole thing has a 'commercial' rather than a residential feel.

My old (9 yrs.) dishwasher of another brand still worked, but every few weeks another prong would break off and I couldn't load a lot of things properly. This machine seems too hold so much more, is very sturdy, and of course cleans superbly. I know it's been a long time since I've had a new dishwasher, but I was amazed by how quiet it was compared to my old one. Even though the lights indicated it was running, I had to press my ear to it to make sure it was on! No more running to another room or turning it off to actually hear a phone call and it doesn't interrupt hubby's TV shows. Wished I bought this sooner!

we replaced a 19 year old dishwasher In a retirement home we bought with the new Kitchen Aid, a brand my mom swore was the best when she was alive and when we grew up. Although much quieter than the older dishwashers and the hype on how clean they get dishes, I find that the older models must have scrubbed different as the claims that are made they talk almost anything off are far fetched. I find all kids of "stuff" that did not come off some of our dishes in nearly all loads. Notice nearly all there are some that do fine I just don't think they do as great of job. As it may be I had to do the same thing with my main home just 3 months prior to doing this one and although my 17 year old dishwasher was replaced with another top brand claiming to take near everything off, I find the same thing.... they just don't seem to scrub like they used to. MUCH QUIETER HOWEVER! Overall am pretty satisfied with my new purchase of Kitchen Aide dishwasher with a few reservatons

I bought this four months ago and it does a good job a long as there is Jetdry in it. I like the loading pattern and the placement of the silverware holder. My only issue is that the control panel is very exposed and very sensitive. My lightweight robe brushing against it will start a cycle. All in all, a very nice product.

I have always prewashed my dishes to a great extent before putting them into my dishwasher but with my new Kitchenaid that is not necessary. What pleases me the most is how clean my coffee mugs come out without added bleach or peroxide granules. I drink a very strong black coffee that stains cups and mugs. Now they all come out spotlessly clean. I can't get over how quiet the Kitchenaid is. I no longer have to close the kitchen doors to silence the noise from the dishwsher.

We purchased this dishwasher early this year as a replacement. The old one lasted about 11 years. Our stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot washer and dryer are all Kitchenaid. We have found over the years that we can trust that name. Dishwasher runs quiet and does a wonderful job of cleaning. Racks move easily and it is roomy.

I have enjoyed our new KitchenAid dishwasher. We replaced a Kenmore that was 13 yr. old. We have had some loads that have still had food residue on them that our old dishwasher would've rinsed off. Overall we are pleased. The control panel is very touchy and easy to start, so we have to keep the control lock on. Just brushing against it will start the dishwasher.

Water stops to fast during operation, resulting in klunk noise. If you come close or bump into the dishwasher, it will start up and cycle. I have had five different dishwashers since 1979 and this one is not my favorite by far.
