Very disappointed

Very disappointed in my dishwasher. Paid top dollar for this product, put it in our kitchen remodel. Have used it only about one year and the control panel has failed. Had repair man come three times and still it will not work. The same thing happened to my Kitchen Aid microwave/convection oven combination....electronics had to be replaced after only about a dozen uses. Why are these products rated highly? They do not live up to their claim!

Expensive fiasco

I bought this VERY EXPENSIVE dishwasher about 3 years ago. it cleans well and is quiet. However, the control/selector panel malfunctioned. The repairman replaced the panel. Ran the machine and the panel blew again. The repairman replaced it a second time, because it was possible the first one was faulty. The dishwasher worked about a week, and the same panel blew again. The repairman is coming again tomorrow and obviously something else is wrong with this machine. I am not very happy that a machine I paid about $1700.00 for has malfunctioned after 3 years and the problem seems difficult to diagnose. Over $300.00 to the repairman for non functioning parts and service. Not a happy camper at all.

Great Cleaning, but HORRIBLE electronics

We upgraded to this machine in our new home. The machine is extremely quiet, cleans very well, and the utensils top rack, Pro Wash and Pro Dry are superb. With all of the excellence in the cleaning and insulating, the controls on this machine are the worst we have ever had in 40 years. With only 4 years usage (adults only in the home) the electronic indicator lights on the panel have been repaired 3 times and another two lights are out again. It's ridiculous; now, it's just a guess what options and cycle will run. After paying nearly $300 for labor, we cannot recommend what SHOULD be an excellent dishwasher. Very disappointed in Whirlpool/Kitchenaid quality that was once high in the industry.
