cheap plastic parts on top rack break off
5/9/2016
The plastic rollers used for the top rack broke apart and now the top rack comes crashing down when we open it up. Not a great feature when you use the top rack to.... wash glasses!! Now it's effectively useless after 2 years.

Our dishwasher is less than 3 years old I have spent $200 on new rollers because the original ones cracked. The appliance repair company says that they replace rollers all the time on these dishwashers, typically after 1 year. Now I had to spend another $150 to find out that the clamp on the hose is loose and they cant replace the clamp alone you have to replace the whole pump which is $600. We are a household of two there's no reason for all these issues. We also have a kitchen aid refrigerator and over, both equally as terrible with multiple repair calls on each.

Wash great, breaks way to often

The dishwasher works but the upper rack was poorly made. Mine is 3 years old, and I am ordering my 3rd upper rack roller assembly which wont probably last longer than the last 2, its cheap plastic. At 45$ plus tax + shipping it amounts to quite a total cost of ownership. (part PS10064063) Plus the door is now leaking and I may have to call a tech for this one. My previous kitchenaid worked 18 years with less repair than this one in 3 ! Too bad, seemed an upper quality model, but I was wrong, too much plastic in the upper rack, will never last.

Overall i'm very satisfied with the diswasher and Love the stainless steel tub, however it doesn't do a good job with washing untensils

My history: Bought new dishwasher Oct/Nov 2012 -First unit came damaged and dented up in the back -Second unit, I tried to install the dishwasher and the door spring was broken and had to be replaced--several days later fixed - ~June 2013--Several of the lights to show you the selected options burnt out--Tech came out to fix -October 2013--Woke up 2nd morning in a row with the dishwasher leaking out on my brand new wooden floor and Tech came out the following week to fix. Service Rep on the phone told me that when we called on a Friday for the leak that someone couldn't come until next week and our 1 year warranty will end on Monday. Tried to not fix the dishwasher, but they did cover it since we were under warranty. -March 2014--Both roller adjusters have broken and my dishwasher is out of commission again. I am not out of warranty and my parts cost is at about $75. -
