Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Disappointing

Krotz 2/3/2018

We have one of these in a house we are renting, and it has been thoroughly disappointing. As other reviewers have also stated, it does a horrible job on silverware, even considering we thoroughly rinse it before putting it in the dishwasher. There is also a "zone" in the bottom that never gets clean - we have become accustomed to not putting anything there. Likewise, we need to leave a space between plates, so that only 4-5 large plates can be washed at a time or big sections of them remain unwashed. The only reason I even care now is that we purchased a new home and are in the process of completely renovating the kitchen, and when I saw that Consumer Reports ranks the KitchenAid dishwashers well, I almost choked. Absolutely not the experience I have had.

Ugh

Pony47 1/25/2018

Mine is 5.5 years old and control panel died. I always thought so highly of Kitchenaid, finally sprung for one, and it only lives for 5.5 years?? And from day one, it's never been able to clean silverware. I always had to hand wash before people came over because the silverware's spotty appearance was embarrassing. So now, instead of investing in a control panel for a dishwasher that doesn't even clean well, I'm going to buy a new one - and not a Kitchen aid! Never again will I buy Kitchenaid. I'm so disappointed.

Poor Quality Plastics

ctm1 1/8/2018

This is no longer available for purchase. Purchased 4/2012 at a decent price and expected it to last more than 5.5 years. Upper rack adjusters / wheels have failed. Whirlpool has redesigned a replacement kit for $30-$50. Now the pocket handle plastic tabs are broken another $50, and the Plastic control panel tabs are broken. You have to buy the whole assembly with the control panel $150 or more. We bought all matching appliances and trying to replace with a better built matching (Black in color) model is proving to be very difficult due to the new designs and new handles out there that don't match the other appliances..

Stay away!

WVPA81 12/14/2017

After 4 years of owning this we are throwing it out. The main control panel has failed twice and the top rack brackets have failed 4 times! KitchenAid failed on this one and it seems others have had the same problems I have experienced. It was quiet, but I don't care how quiet it is if I am constantly fixing it!

Nothing but a paperweight

9/2/2017

I bought this dishwasher in 2012 because it was a Kitchenaid and that meant quality to me. In the past two years I've had to replace the control board twice and it has now failed a third time. This is nothing more than a paperweight. Even when it worked there were items that needed to be re-washed. It was quiet, but that was the only saving grace for it. I'll never buy another Kitchenaid appliance again.

Cleans well, Dish rack and leaking an issue

6/24/2017

We purchased this dishwasher 5 years ago when we remodeled our kitchen. We chose it because it had a recessed handle, had good ratings for cleaning and was quiet. Our kitchen is small and a protruding handle is a big issue. The front controls are convenient but can be easily triggered if you lean against the surface. My real issue is quality construction. One year in it leaked, bad gasket but under warranty so replaced. Third year in, top rack broke. I ordered a part and replaced. Since then we've had another leak and the rack broke a second time. My wood floors are warped and the [art replacement costs are adding up. I've decided to move on which is unfortunate as the machine cleans well and is relatively quiet and was more affordable. Sadly it seems the top rack has been an issue for others as well. I will go for a higher-end model and hope we have better results.

Top Rack Breaks, Warranty does not cover

2/9/2017

I bought this 3 years ago and the top rack broke. There is a warranty of 2-5 years on the top rack. The warranty department says the piece of the rack that broke does not count as the rack. So I have to have it fixed out of pocket.

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE

6/25/2016

Within months of owning this dishwasher, the seal broke. That was the one and only repair the manufacturer covered. Since then, we have had continual problems. Pieces are constantly breaking. We have had to pay out of pocket for at least 5 new parts. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Top Rack issue finally addressed

John, a homeowner 6/6/2016

We bought this dishwasher in 2011. It does the job. However, like many others according to the reviews, we had the wheels come off the top rack guides. While the rack is covered in the warranty the rollers are not. They last about two years with light use (two of us w 1/day wash). Worse; the little plastic spokes on the wheel guides break off. One got into the motor in the bottom of the unit burning it out: $173.62 parts and 178.13 labor plus tax. This current repair for the rack wheels comes with a total new design with a steel frame. Cost 43.38 with shipping. By rights this should have been a factory recall/repair several years ago. But better late than never. Also note: I consider myself mechanically inclined and this install gave me a moment or two. I'd guess a sig. portion of folks would have difficulty w/o some assistance. They do provide directions - but even so not very clear on several steps. I would only recommend this to a friend if the rack up-grade was completed. If not I'd recommend a preemptive strike and replace this top rack wheels before more severe damage is done. This was clearly a design flaw. These do happen and it should have been covered/repaired by the factory.

Cheaply made KUDS30IXBT Dishwasher

6/5/2016

Dishwasher is 2.5 years old. A lot of the system seems to be made out of low grade plastic, which means the dishwasher is prone to many failures very quickly. The silverware holder is made out of plastic, and the plastic holders that are used to hold the silverware so each piece stands individually will warp out within 30 days. Is this a deal breaker, no, but a sign of lack of quality. The control panel lights. Very touchy. Sometimes, if you lean up against the control panel, it will do some sort of auto drain mode or something. This started within the first six months of owning it. The Control Panel Buttons also just don't work. The system will have ran and been emptied. All lights are off for a few days. You load the dishwasher as you normally do over a period of days. When full, you try to make the system start. And it won't. You have to cancel out the system and then get it started. The upper dish rack. The roller wheel assembly is made out of plastic. Some people have had it where theirs failed within the first year. Ours made it 2.5 years before the top dish rack failed and crashed down onto the lower dishrack. Luckily, no dishes were broken. I am now looking to repair these. The parts I need look to be W10195336. Dish Cleaning. This could be due to our hard water or maybe it is due to the system. Over a period of time, the once crystal clear glasses get all filmy and are no longer crystal clear. By the way, we have lived in the house for 26 years and our previous dishwasher we did not have this problem.

Worst Appliance I have ever owned.

6/3/2016

I wish I could give it zero stars. I have wasted so much time and money getting this fixed. Cheap plastic parts, gaskets and new chopper. It is 4 years old and every time I think it will stop needing repairs, it breaks again. When it was still under warranty, Kitchenaid was cooperative and kept sending me new parts. Now, I get no response from them. Every time it breaks, I just want to throw it away and buy a new one. Worst purchase ever.

Poorly Built Machine

5/15/2016

This is the 3rd dishwasher I've purchased in 18 years of being married. This one didn't last 3 years. The first thing to give us trouble was the Lock button. Then the plastic rack rollers broke-- I fixed those with steel epoxy. Then the random leaking started--never did figure that one out. Next the computer began losing its mind. We often had to shut the power off for a while then repeat till it worked. Now the "Clean" and the "Washing" buttons are permanently on and no other buttons respond.

Cheap plastic parts

2/14/2016

We have had this about 3 years. Within a month of the 1 year warrenty plastic parts on the inside were breaking (adjuster assay, drawer slides, etc.) I have replaced a number parts inside and I am now having to replace them again along with other parts. It seems that the plastic used for these parts were not meant for hot dishwasher conditions. We are NOT happy with the amount we paid for the quality we got. We certainly expected it to last longer. I almost wish we would have just paid to fix our old one as it would probably have outlasted this.

Good at first, not good now (2.5 years)

1/23/2016

I bought this dishwasher 2.5 years ago and it worked very well at first. Dishes were clean and the machine was quiet while washing. Within a month of the 1 year warranty expiring, the pump died and the washer started making a grinding noise. At the same time, the 'axle' on the plastic rack adjuster broke. Since this time, I have had to replace the upper rack adjuster several times due to the failure of the plastic axle. Recently Kitchen Aide released a new part to replace this faulty piece, so problem solved. In the last two months, the dishwasher has not been cleaning the dishes, along with being very loud while not cleaning them. I'm very disappointed in this dishwasher and had expected it to last much much longer than it has based on the amount I paid for it.

Poor quality and bad design

12/5/2015

We owned this dishwasher from 2011-15 and it lasted only 4 years. Within years 1 and 2 the lock broke twice. At year 4 the electronics panel died and the cost to fix was well over $300 plus parts. Our previous 22 year old Kitchenaid still worked well when we replaced it to get this quieter and prettier model...big mistake. We kept hearing that today's dishwashers are all plastic and don't last long, so we just bought a much cheaper Whirlpool and paid extra for the 5 year warranty. We'll probably be lucky to get 5 years out it it.

JUNK, DO NOT BUY

10/28/2015

Upper rack rarely works, had to replace one roller $225,that was my direct online parts price. I will never buy KitchenAid again. Had it serviced 2x in first year, then roller replacement I did myself after warranty. We usually have to run each load twice.

The dishwasher is unreliable

10/26/2015

The dishwasher frequently freezes and can only be reset by shutting power off to the dishwasher. Support for the products is poor at best. Replacement parts (such as the glass rack adapter) are shipped without installation instructions. the kitchen aid part is out of stock but they will sell you the Whirlpool part for $5.00 more.

Our KUDS30IXSS was purchased just over 2 years ago. The latch went defective after 1 year, got it repaired for a couple of hundred bucks. Today (2 years after purchase) the unit is dead, won't power up and is full of water. We are planning on getting ANYTHING except a KitchenAid. Simply unreliable.

Broke down 4 times in 4yrs. I give up on all Whirlpool products (Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Jenn-air & Amana). Company does not stand behind their products, customer service is awful. We also had issues with our Microwave-Oven Combo. I've spent $981 in repairs in just 4yrs after spending over $6K on KitchenAid products when re-doing the kitchen.

Really disappointed

7/11/2015

JUst like all the other reviews said, the top rollers fell apart along with the top rack spacers. Unit is very finnicky on cleaning and we never know when it's going to clean and when it won't. Can't use any soap other than Cascade or it leaves a nasty film. The buttons on the face of the unit are very sensitive and if you lean against them while at the kitchen counter the machine turns on. VERY disappointed with this unit....

Dissapointed and Disgusted

6/24/2015

Same complaints as many of the other reviewers. This dishwasher is less than 4 years old and I have had nothing but trouble with it! Less than a year in the top rack rollers basically disintegrated and needed to be replaced. The control panel needed to be replaced before it was 3 yrs old and now it needs to be replaced again (it has been just under a year since it was last replaced). My last dishwasher was a Kitchen aid that was over 15 years old, the quality of the product has greatly decreased. I Will NEVER buy a kitchen aid dishwasher again!

Disappointed

6/1/2015

I purchased the KUDS30IXWH KitchenAid washer based on model specs and brand recognition. 6 months in to it and I had KitchenAid replace the top rollers. 1 1/2 years the rollers broke again and I had to pay out of pocket for them. Around this same time the front metal cover started to rust in the top right portion by a side vent. 3 years the control panel requires us to turn off the circuit breaker to reset it. 4 years the control panel doesn't respond and needs to be replaced. This is not what I expected and is unacceptable for a dishwasher at this cost. I will be purchasing another brand this week.

Not a good experience

5/28/2015

We bought this dishwasher in 2012. We chose this model, because it would be quieter than the dishwasher we were replacing. There's no rinse cycle. I only tried the boost cycle once. The dishwasher washed fine without that cycle. The racks do not efficiently hold the dishes. My old dishwasher had more capacity for less money. It is quieter, but we have had problems with it every year since we bought it. We are not rough on our appliances. We usually keep them ten years or longer. We had trouble with this dishwasher right away. The racks did not roll in and out very well. We've had the rollers replaced more than once. I think we even had the top rack replaced. Today, we discovered one of the rollers on the top rack broken off, again. Fortunately, I had purchased a three year extended warranty. That wasn't easy. I kept getting letters in the mail that said I hadn't purchase it yet. I had kept my check number. I called and asked for a copy of the contract. They sent one, of sorts. I called the repair shop to make sure they had a record of the warrantee. It took a while to straighten out the record. This dishwasher will not last ten years. It may not last five years. Next time, I will choose the cheaper louder dishwasher. I can replace it three times for the cost of this one.

Doesn't clean, poor construction for top rack.

Vicster 3/3/2015

I purchased this in 2012, it is now 2015 and I feel as if I need a new dishwasher. The top rack pieces have broken. The warranty is only on the rack, not the hardware that make the rack function. It is made of plastic. The customer service on live chat was very helpful and found that there was a recall on the plastic pieces and have replaced it with a all metal piece. It is being shipped to me. I will update after receiving. Something else I don't like is that the buttons that turn the washer on is on the front and can be leaned up against and either stop the dishwasher or start it by accident. There is a lock button on it, but you have to hold it down, sometimes it unlocks right away sometimes it doesn't recognize that you've touched it at all and you have to stand there with your finger on the button waiting..... IF you don't lock it and someone walks by and touches it with their hip, or leans against it, it will stop the washer without you realizing and you've got dirty dishes STILL! Frustrating.

Great dishwasher, easy to install

Happier38 2/16/2015

Bought this unit about a month ago to replace a Frigidaire dishwasher. I picked this unit because it has a flush, clean, front panel. My unit was to be installed at perpendicular, next to a drawer cabinet. So a handle bar at the dishwasher would prohibit the drawer from opening. I replaced the dishwasher myself and it was straight forward with no difficulties or surprises. So far, I have run the dishwasher several times under the normal and quick cycles with heated drying. The operation is reasonably quiet and dishes are cleaned spotlessly as expected (rinse aid was used). So far I have been satisfied with the performance of the unit.

Less than 2 years old and top rack broken

schwancy 1/20/2015

I have to say we are very disappointed in the quality of the top rack rollers. The wheels come off and the rack had been at risk for falling. Faulty design using molded plastic vs a metal. The cracked plastic has to be due to the heat/cold of the machine. Ironically one of my friends purchased this same machine and the exact same thing happened with them(and her machine is only a year old!) Very disappointed KitchenAid designers. We are getting a replacement part, but my thinking is it will happen again unless the entire top rack is replaced to be in metal vs the plastic.

Worst Dishwasher

Patchescat62 1/18/2015

Have it since 3 years. Worst Dishwasher i ever owned! Dishes don't get clean! Does not have a pre-rinse except when your self do it first! Pots never are clean and always covered in a whitish something!Wheels on top rack constantly break off! Hate my KitchenAid Diswasher!

Smooth Operation

KitchenMaid 12/29/2014

We are pleased with the purchase of out Kitchen Aid dishwasher. The only shortcoming is the sensitivity of the flat screen buttons - when leaning against the over the unit against the counter top the Cancel/Drain button has a tendancy to activate,

No matter how often I run this dishwasher, it constantly has a terrible odor that makes you want to vomit.

Disappointed

sarahkay1980 12/27/2014

I have had this dishwasher for 3 months and unfortunately I am disappointed with its performance. Regardless of how I load the dishwasher food does not get removed from the dishes. Essentially everything must be pre-washed in order for it to become clean. The 15 year old Maytag that was replaced by this model did a better job. I have come to learn that the motor on the Maytag was much more powerful and thanks to energy star ratings this newer model lacks power.

Good dishwasher

Andrew112 12/18/2014

We enjoy the dishwasher. Had issues with the utensil holder as it wouldn't keep them upright. The buttons on the dishwasher have faded and we have had it less then a year. The machine washes the dishes great. Besides the two issues we are happy.

Very pratical, nicely working dishwasher

arobic 12/18/2014

After 9 months, I still like the look of my dishwasher (the stainless stayed in good condition with normal usage and maintenance). I also like the cleaning (very seldom I find some residue of food on my dishes) and the noise level is great. The functionnalities are nice, and I particularly like the control lock option. Finally, the configuration is pratical, and allows to put a lot of content in it for each cleaning cycle.

Loving it!

all3smom 12/18/2014

We purchased this dishwasher a few months ago, after doing without a working one for several years, and I'm very happy with it. I do find the 1 hr setting is working best for us, as the longer cycles tend to leave a residue (although this could be due to the detergent - Cascade is recommended and it's what was supplied with the machine when we purchased, but another brand was on sale when I needed some - stick with Cascade.) The 1hr cycle does a great job! Now, if only I could get it to somehow manipulate the rest of the family in loading their own dirty dishes! ;)

Really nice dishwasher.

CarolAG 12/14/2014

I purchased this dishwasher last month and have been pleased with it, overall. It is quiet and I like the lock feature that allows buttons to be locked so that an accidental bump will not change the cycle. I like that I can make the top rack higher - which I have done. The drawbacks are that the bottom rack is flush and dishes seem to roll around when pulling the rack in or out. Also, the lock button is difficult to figure out in that it is difficult to tell when it is unlocked.

works great

This dishwasher was recommended by our contractor for being quieter, and we agree. Barely know it 's on. Cleans well. Needs the rinse aid to dry well.

Efficient & Quiet!!

Vanman 60 10/14/2014

Best dishwasher we have had in more than 45 years of home ownership. The 1-hour cycle is a gem when you must move dishes quickly. Its quiet operation is a highly valued feature to us. This is a superb product!!
