This refrigerator for a very large family or in an area where the grocery is a distance but it works great for us. The space is very usable and the freezer is also spacious. It is easy to clean and we are very satisfied.

I am really not thrilled with this refrigerator. It is louder than my previous 10 year old Kenmore Elite. I removed all my items from my (2/3 full) top freezer and put them into my new bottom freezer. It was so full I couldn't add a toothpick! I can't believe how much less the bottom mount holds. The little lever on the crisper for humidity control broke day 2.

Best refrigerator I have ever owned

I am almost 70 years old so I have had several refrigerator in my adult life-time. This frig is very sensible in design. When you open the refrigerator door there is a nice 6" lip at the base that I use very day to rest a bowl of leftovers or 1/2 gallon of milk on, as I reach for something behind. Before, I would have to remove items and set them on the counter-top, reach in to get what I needed, then turn around and place everything on the counter-top back into the frig. This 6" ledge is a very thoughtful feature for seniors. Nice room inside and shelving if great. Freezer below is easy access. I highly recommend.

I got this just a few weeks ago. I have always wanted this style fridge too. I am in love with it! I love being able to adjust shelves for what I need and I love how much better my back feels from not having to always bend down in my old fridge. If you are thinking about this style, don't hesitate..just go buy it!

We bought our refrigerator about 6 weeks ago and after having a broken, sick refrigerator a was really excited. Our ice maker is in the freezer and works great for us. I'm not sure families with children find it as workable. My biggest regret is it is 4 Cubic feet smaller that the last refrigerator.4 cubic ft is a whole lot of space. We went with our measurements, so it was our problem. I find the produce drawers and the meat drawer to be small =(

The freezer compartment, on the bottom allows small debris to fall on the kitchen floor -- it does not have a solid bottom. Also, the freezer light worked inconsistently and the switch on the light had to be replaced less than a month after the appliance was delivered. It took more than a week to get a service technician -- with a cancelled appointment on their end. However, after a rocky start it seems to be fine now.

well organized interior. very good looking. because of space restriction's had to settle for 19 cu ft unit.a little short on storage, but performs well.Have had Maytag appliances in the past, in fact still have a wash machine that is over 30 years old and still preforms very well/

I bought the refrigerator in May and find so many things I love about it. The bottom freezer is smaller than my old fridge( hence 4 stars) but there is less cubic feet also. Since they did not have a floor sample at the store I was surprised at how easy it is to arrange the shelves. One advantage is that the long single drawer in the fridge is perfect for my grandchildren and great grandchildren to have their own drawer for sandwich makings and snacks. They can see fruit and the drink boxes easily. When it becomes necessary to use large platters I can use that drawer and not take up needed refrigerator space during the holiday season. I have adjusted to the smaller freezer ( especially having a light ) and will look into buying a small upright freezer. It is amazing how much refrigerator/ freezers have changed in 20 years. I look forward to replacing my range with a Maytag double oven when it's time.

This refrigerator looks great, is designed for easy access and great storage with the interior shelving units, large inside door shelf, the long drawer which is great for cheeses and eggs and if course the bottom access freezer. It looks great and is 100% functional.My electric bill actually declined in the two months I've had my new Maytag appliances.

I was limited in space, due to kitchen cabinet configurations when shopping for a new fridge and I really wanted the bottom freezer style. This one is the same CF as my old one but seems smaller. The wide single drawer in the top compartment is difficult to slide in and out when full. Veggie crispers hold much less than my old one. I could have gotten a bigger fridge for less money, but now they are too tall. I wish I had bought a bigger old style fridge(freezer on top) or replaced the cabinet above the space my fridge goes into. It looks nice, just wish I had done it differently.

The lay out is lovely - all shelves adjustable -, the freezer is slightly to small to accommodate some frozen pizza boxes- slightly more depth with more space above the section dividers would be perfect - but we have found a way to accommodate almost everything

I am very happy with my new Maytag bottom freezer refrigerator. As I indicated, I have back trouble and I go into the frig more than the freezer. Every thing I need is there, no bending over and squatting to get to anything. Maytag has been around for as long as I can remember and that says a lot, I am 62 years old. That tells me something.

Just three weeks into using my new fridge. So far, I really like it; new to the bottom freezer design, I have yet to get used to it, but I is a wonderful feature, much more functional. The cooling and freezing are superb. It runs in the smallish side as far as room, especially the vegetable and fruit drawers.

I've always wanted a freezer-on-the-bottom refrigerator, and I have finally gotten one! It's lovely not to have to stoop over to find things in the vegetable bins, and to be able to see everything at eye-level. I also appreciate the fact that I can change the height and the disposition of the shelving, both on the door and on the interior.

I Knew I Would Love It

I did lots of research and handpicked this fridge. I went to a store and checked it out. I knew I would love it and I do. The very large lunchmeat and cheese tray on the very bottom was one of the features that really attracted me and I really like it. I love the bottom freezer mostly because I don't use the freezer as often as the fridge and not having to bend over with heavy items to put them on the bottom of the fridge is just wonderful. Just walk up and slide it onto the shelf. The Quality is good except that the crisper drawers and the meat drawer aren't smooth sliding. It is important to pull from the middle and not a side. The same way with opening the freezer. Pull from the middle. For the price I paid I can live with these things. Some of you may not be able to. To go to a higher Quality of drawer slide was going with a different brand and an almost $1000.00 difference in price. I find the compressor and fans a little louder than I prefer but I am getting used to it. I do notice that something runs more than I like also but everything works well so that is probably a minor issue.

I've had this new refrigerator about a month and am finding I like the freezer drawer. It took a little getting used to, but now find it's much easier to have vegetable drawers up high. I find two small draw backs, the left vegetable drawer does not slide in and out easily, it requires some manipulating to get it to close correctly. The right one slides in and out smoothly. We have taken it out, inspected and can't find why it doesn't slide like the other one. Also, once you put a lot of weight in the storage areas in the door the refrigerator swings wide open. As you take out what you need from the shelves the door keeps swinging open, and you must push it to make sure it closes all the way. You can't give it a shove to close and assume it will close all the way.

Very good for the most part but from time to time it gets very noisy - I can hear the compressor from anywhere in the house. For a fridge that is not even a week old that is unacceptable. I wouldn't buy it again.

It has everything I have wanted in a refridgerator. Really like the freezer on the bottom. It is convenient and larger than the on top ones. I'm impressed with the large full length keeper inside. My only draw back is the egg keeper. It only holds 10 eggs ..not a dozen.

We have had this refrig for just over one year now, having selected it for the bottom freezer and attractive design, and that it is the smallest such that we could find anywhere. We were thrilled with its beauty, but one thing we could not research ahead of time was how quiet or noisy it might be to operate, which was important to us because the kitchen in our summer home is smack in the middle of the main living room and gathering area. Well, the quietness of this refrigerator far exceeds our hopes for a centrally located fridge. Can't praise it enough, and it seems the small ice cubes (perfect for cocktails which is a key use for us) don't even make much sound when dropping.I'd have given this fridge 5 stars except that the two "crisper" drawers seem flimsy and don't operate smoothly at all. They often require some jockeying to get them back into place. But the wide "party tray" drawer does work well. Four and a half stars!

I bought this fridge as part of a complete kitchen rennovation. It has great storage flexibility and I love the bottom freezer drawers. When the motor runs, it's a bit noisy and even louder than my old fridge which was well over 15 years old. Other than that - it's great!

We love the bottom freezer drawer. There's a lot more room (even with an ice maker) than we anticipated. We really like most of the food we access being at eye level. There are many adjustable shelves so there's lots of room for different sizes of containers.

I'm unhappy with the size of the vegetable and fruit drawers, much too small. You place a head of lettuce and a bag of carrots and there is not much room for anything else. the cheese/meat drawer takes too much space. Freezer space is adequate but that stationary divider in the freezer basked is useless. It would be better if one could move it according to need.I appreciate the controls being in the front, however it takes away space for the top shelf

After 31 years, we had to replace out refrigerator and chose this Maytag. Love the bottom freezer drawer and the LED lights in both top and bottom. We got black to match our other appliances. The stainless handles blend great with the stainless in our kitchen. We have yet to hook up the ice maker so I can't review that part of the fridge. The shelving works out great for up. Can't wait to see a difference in my electric bill with this new energy-star appliance. The only thing I miss from my other refrigerator is an egg tray, but that is not enough to change my review.

We have only had it for one month and so far so good. We enjoy the spaciousness and shelf arrangement. We especially enjoy the bottom freezer which we use less than the top. I had to get on my knees to find things on the lower shelves in our old refrigerator. My knees aren't as good as they used to be so it helps a lot.
