Poor Design Leads to Ice Build Up

This refrigerator was very poorly designed and does not include a recirculation pump in freezer. This leads the condensation that builds up in the freezer to drip to the bottom and then freezes over and eventually leaks out and onto the floor. I have spoken with plumbers and appliance repairmen and all say that this is a known problem that Maytag refuses to address and fix.

We bought this because it is stainless steel and because it had bottom freezer. Works OK to refrigerate food. Problems include energy use - compressor seems to be running about 90 percent of the time or more and uses $20+ per month to run. Another problem is that it leaks from freezer compartment (no, water supply to ice dispenser is not connected). So, about every 10 days we have to mop up the floor and break ice off the bottom of freezer. I contacted Maytag support and the response was that problems might be due to humidity.
