4-Blade Stainless Steel Chopper No more scraping plates. The 4-blade stainless steel chopper disintegrates the food particles that come off your dishes so they don't end up recirculating and sticking to your dishes and glassware.

Industry's Most Powerful Motor 1 Available Strengthened by the industry's most powerful motor 1 available, each cycle blasts away tough soils for clean dishes the first time.

Tiered Upper Rack When cleaning up after a big meal, you always need room to fit just one more glass or plate. The tiered upper rack is designed like stadium seating to hold large plates and taller items. In the lower rack, this creates enough space to place two 9" x 13" pans vertically.

Designed, Engineered and Assembled in the USA From Ohio to you, every Maytag® dishwasher is designed, engineered and assembled in the U.S.A.

Steam Sanitize Option The Steam Sanitize option lets you confidently wash important items with a high-temperature rinse that reduces 99.999% of food soil bacteria.

JetClean® Plus Wash System Uses high-pressure spray jets to remove tough food particles. A stainless steel chopper blade pulverizes food, preventing particles from plugging the wash system and spray jets. The filtration system captures tiny food particles to prevent redistribution during the cycle for optimal cleaning without the need to prerinse.

Premium Dark Duraguard® Nylon Racks These heavy-duty racks protect dishes from scratches and damage while also resisting rust.

ENERGY STAR® Qualified ENERGY STAR® qualified dishwashers use less water and energy than standard models helping to save money on utility bills.

Oversize Capacity Plus Tall Tub The oversized tub provides enough capacity to clean tall and large items like cookie sheets, pitchers and mixing bowls.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Still a great dishwasher.

Allie 1/29/2017

So many reviews are written when people have just purchased an appliance, but I'm writing mine after 4 plus years It was great when I first bought it and it is great now. Dishes come clean and it is quieter than any other I have had. I love that it has a "light" option when you have just cups, saucers, plates but nothing big or very dirty. I also love that it dries the dishes. The racks have held up well, no sign of wear or discoloration. As an older user, my only request is that the button descriptions be more contrasting, they can be hard to see.

Quiet friend

You are kidding 10/30/2014

The dishwasher we replaced was so noisey that in our open home the music was turned off until it finished. The Maytag is so quiet we have to listen to tell it's running. The labels on the front are a little hard to get used to but, after time it becomes second nature. In all we are very pleased with our purchase.

Great dishwasher

farm mama 10/23/2014

This dishwasher holds a lot and I like the design of the racks. I really like the utensil holders because you have options as to how to use them or can completely remove them if you need to. Cleans well and works great for me.

Third maytag dishwasher

Maytag gram 10/14/2014

Only looked at maytag when I needed to replace my fourteen year old dishwasher. Dishes go from table to dishwasher and come out great. No rinsing in between.

Dishwasher

Rivershadow 10/3/2014

I have been using the dishwasher for about a month. It is alright. I did not purchase a top of the line because I did not want to spend that much money and I did not need all the bells and whistles. It is taking time to figure out how to load this well. It is not intuitive on how to start the machine and the directions are a bit confusing. I figured out you just have to hold the start button and it will start. It does not seem to clean as well as my very old previous machine and it takes a lot longer to cycle. It is OK if you do not leave a lot of food on the dishes and I usually rinse everything.

Not my first choice

Momto4boys 9/2/2014

My husband bought this dishwasher without consulting me first. Our last dishwasher broke and was not fixable. I'll say I probably wouldn't have chosen this one. The inside seems a bit smaller than my last dishwasher. I don't like the handle how it opens. Basically you just have to pull it open without a catch and it pulls hard. Its also louder than my last dishwasher. The last thing I don't like is the color black. I would have chosen white instead, as that matches my other kitchen applicances. On the positive side it does get the dishes clean and this dishwasher is better than no dishwasher at all.

After my last dishwasher stopped (only 5 years old and not a Maytag) bought a Maytag. Very quiet and makes the dirtiest dishes shine like new.

Good Bang for the Buck

MattW 8/11/2014

I'm remodeling my kitchen and gutted it. I needed all new appliances...but with the costs piling up I couldn't just plunk down a grand for a dishwasher. I didn't want the cheap one, either, as anyone who's ever had the cheapest "apartment grade" dishwasher knows they basically do a lousy job. This Maytag offered the best bang for the buck for what I needed feature-wise at a price that isn't all that much more than the bottom rung cheap models yet being huge steps ahead in Quality.I self-installed this unit -- it's not that hard to do, but you will be spending a lot of time laying flat on your belly while fiddling with something under the dishwasher. Just have patience and follow the instructions, it's not hard. One note: the installation instructions have a typo telling you to get a 7/8" strain relief for the power cable. The standard 1/2" knockout (3/8" nominal) twin screw clamp connector one is the one you want, especially if you're hard wiring with Romex 12/2. Also, don't forget the hot water feed hose isn't included. Get a braided stainless one with the garden hose type connector on the end.The sound rating said 57db but it's far quieter than the old unit I took out and is unobtrusive when running. My living room is line of sight to the kitchen and I can run the dishwasher without having to turn the TV up, so that's quiet enough. It has a taller tub so large pots aren't hitting the water spray arm, and the rack layout lets you cram a lot in there. It has a lot of wash settings but I've found that the "normal" mode works just fine -- I still tend to rinse dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher (habit you'll have if you lived with a weak dishwasher before now) so I haven't tested its ability to deal with day-old caked on crud extensively. The silverware rack, and upper dish rack, have areas with flip-down covers...good for keeping lightweight stuff like tupperware lids from flying around when hit with high pressure water streams.Oh, and it's an American-owned brand and the bulk of the assembly work is done here, too. I like that. When I see that an appliance is made somewhere else it's a let down and makes me look elsewhere...the "built in USA" sticker on the front of the Maytag means something to me.Only a couple suggestions if it doesn't seem to wash well: just break down and get the good Cascade packet-type detergent and keep the rinse aid dispenser full. Since phosphates were removed from dishwasher detergent the cleaning power of the soap isn't quite as good anymore. I found that better detergent with a little more "oomph" makes a big difference while still being better for the environment. So, negatives...well, standard pint-sized beer glasses can be a tight squeeze in the upper rack specifically because of the flip-down bits getting in the way a little. When the machine runs it cycles the hot water valve open and closed several times when filling (instead of just filling once), which, in my old house, makes the pipes bang every time the valve clicks shut. If you have a laminate countertop (like me) the steam vent on the upper left of the door pours hot water vapor out against the underside of the counter which can make the particle wood get soft and spongy at that spot over time. A little application of all weather foil tape on the underside of the counter to act as a vapor barrier fixed that up. Can't really think of anything else...compared to the old unit it's great.Oh yeah...when I got the big cardboard box home from the store and opened it there was only a dishwasher inside. I expected Colin Ferguson dressed in Maytag Blue to be in there and say "Congratulations, it's Maytag!" Oh well.To wrap it up: There's more expensive models out there with more features and stainless everything and I'm sure they wash great. What sets this apart is that it seems to have 90% of the features of the expensive models and washes everything nicely, but at a price that's a steal. I'm happy with mine!

Built Maytag Tough

kencrape 7/24/2014

We bought this about a month or so ago. I bought this dishwasher for a couple of reasons. 1. It had a solid feel to the door. 2. The Maytag brand is Important to me.

Glad I ended up with a Maytag!

Sam522 7/22/2014

Went in for a replacement for a 10 yr. old dishwasher. Had no brand in mind but saw the Jetclean Plus at the right price and knew this was the one. Great features, lots of options. Love the rinse only option you can use to delay washing until the next meal is finished in order to fully load the washer.

Decent dishwasher

sekwaheiggam 7/21/2014

This dishwasher is okay. The dishes come out clean, but it doesn't dry the dishes well at all. The capacity is also not nearly as large as our old Maytag. Also, the bottom tray doesn't slide smoothly and falls off the runners. Install was simple (I did it by myself without too much trouble.). If I were to do it over I would buy a different machine.

Cleans Dishes!!

cluby 7/21/2014

I have owned this dishwasher for one month. This dishwasher is more quiet than my GE. I bought it to replace a GE that was only 17 months old, but had already had the repairman out twice. It is a good size capacity for dishes-- separates plates, and utensils well. I am happy with it so far!!
