Lights blinking

I bought this 2 yrs ago and have had problems with it cleaning the dishes, we have to basically clean everything off all dishes and silverware. This morning (Sat), the lights started blinking. We did everything in the manual to correct the problem. The final solution was to call the serviceman. I tried to call the serviceman 3 times, no answer, the phone just rang. model#MDB8949SAW. I also own a Maytag Refrigerator, Stove, and Microwave. I have had the repairman out on the Refrigerator and stove. These were purchased on 1/29/13.

Pros: I like the features, top rack moves up to accommodate larger dishes below.Cons: The lower rack does not track well when pulling it to access dishes. Just after 12 month warranty was up it started leaking around door washer. 18 months Control Panel had to be replaced.

This is our second Maytag dishwasher and we have always had good luck with them. Our most recent one is a little different but seems to be just as good if not better than the first one we had.

This dishwasher is made very solid and is extremely quiet. The adjustable top rack is helpful whether you need more room in the bottom or in the top sections. The dishes come out spotless, every time. I am very happy with my purchase of this dishwasher.

We put this dishwasher to the test. We loaded dishes with dishes that were dried food and didn't rinse anything. We even had dried egg. All the dishes came out beautifully. It runs very quiet. A friend came over and was surprised at how quiet it was. I like that I can put large items on the top rack and lower the rack to accommodate them. We would buy this dishwasher again. We love Maytag dishwasher. This is our 4th one.

I find I don't like the stainless because it's too dark. I miss the white and the white racks. Just white racks would help but the dark grey is too dark. There is too much space wasted for us old ladies with our old Correllware. It won't stand up in the wide rack spacing. Makes me crazy. I love the way I can move the height of the racks and the cleaning power is wonderful. It cleans like crazy. I've never had to re-wash anything.

Product is very satisfactory. Does a great job on tough stains and stuck-on food. Love the quietness. Don't even realize it is operating. I might change the design of the racks for my use, but I do not find them much of a problem. I do need more room for small bowls

We bought this dishwasher site unseen from Duerden's in Bountiful. I trust their judgement, and had just come home from the hospital with a new baby when our old dishwasher died. So we didn't have a lot of time or energy to look around.I have to say I am very pleased with its performance, it's cleaning options, and how quiet it is.

Great dishwasher for the price! Cleans great! No more redoing dishes that didn't get done the first time or hand drying! Very quiet and easy installation! Love the adjustable top rack!

This product has a large capacity, and you can move the top rack up and down to provide more space. It cleans great! I never take things out and it not be clean. It is very quiet.

I love this dishwasher, it's so quiet and gets the dishes so clean. The stainless steel inside is so easy to stay clean. I also like how the door stays open where every you stop it at . I would recommend this product to anyone!!

This dishwasher runs extremely quiet. You don't even know that it's running. Our other one sounded like a freight train going through our kitchen. There's plenty of room in it and I love the way our dishes turn out. There's alot of features on it and they are easy to use.

I replaced an old maytag with this newer model. The pros: very quiet and as long as rinse aid is used dishes come out very clean and dry. The height of the top shelf is adjustable, a nice feature to accommodate larger items on the bottom.Cons: will not dry without the use of rinse aid which is different from my previous model. The layout does not allow for large pots so now I have to do my pots by hand. There are no foldable prongs on either the top or bottom shelf. The area for cups on the top shelf is narrow and only smaller cups will fit. The prongs on the lower shelf are uneven which causes larger plates to fall over. Overall I prefer my older model. I wouldn't buy this machine again.

I love the adjustable shelves. The stainless steel interior looks nice and continues to look brand new. The touch controls make it easy to run. There is alot of choices when it comes to the different cycles that I can choose. I chose white exterior and it is so easy to keep clean. I have always had Maytag and would have nothing else. It truely is the best on the market. I shopped and this is a great product for the price.

the stainless steel is getting a rust spot in the tub where the front bracket for the heating element is mounted. is there a simple fix for this?

My old dishwasher was rusting away--I'm very glad my new dishwasher has a stainless steel interior and rust resistant dish trays. It does a great job.

I've had Maytag dishwashers previously and cannot say enough about the Quality of the product. The only issue that I have with the dishwasher is that it smells once you put dishes in it (!) What that means is that my family is no longer large enough to require the dishwasher to run every day. After dishes sit in the washer for several hours, opening the door lets out an awful sour smell.
