I have not been please with this appliance that we have only had for about 2 years: The fridge seems much smaller in space then my old one probably because the shelves are split and the "arms" runs down the middle cutting down on space. Also, the control pannel on the top is often in the way. The drawers are too small. Food, especially fresh produce, often freeze. We have had problems with our ice maker and have had to replace it already. The doors do not close well and the magnet strip is already starting to crumble. IThat said, I have wanted a freezer on the bottom for years and that has been a pleasant experience.

When our old Maytag refrigerator quit working it was time to make the trip to 3 appliance shops and do the research on which box would be best for our home. I had always be "anti" bottom freezer, but this one was different. With the french doors on top, it was an easy change to become accoustomed to this new technology. Even though we had to eliminate the upper cabinet above the old box, we figured it was never used anyhow! All in all, it is great!

I researched and read alot of reviews on alot of refrigerators before purchasing this one. I was never able to actually see nor touch the models that I researched online. But found this model at a local independent dealer.I was tired of always bending over and searching in the back of the bottom shelves of my old fridge. So a bottom freezer was an important factor for me. I have a narrow kitchen, so having the French doors saves some space.My produce stays fresher longer and I no longer find spoiled food in the back on the bottom like in my old fridge.I love being able to see everything at eye level. The shelves can be adjusted to accommodate my storage needs. The door shelves hold more than I thought and I could adjust those shelves as well. And I love the wide Deli drawer that is under the produce drawers.I read reviews that complained about the noisy ice maker. The noise isn't an issue for us. We don't use that much ice so it isn't making ice constantly. And besides, it's in the kitchen. I don't sleep in there so no big deal.It is a bit wider than my old model and a bit roomier than what two of us might need. But I don't need to have that extra fridge in the basement for when I need extra room for storing "party food."

I love my Maytag French door fridge! It is so easy to reach everything and energy saving because I don't have to open both doors to reach the food. I bought a different brand with the freezer on top of the fridge, which I returned for my Maytag, because I could not reach the bottom shelves without hitting my head on the top door. I highly recommend this Maytag french door fridge for anyone who wants ease of getting in and out of a fridge with lots of room!!

So far, we are very happy with this refrigerator! Very quiet efficient operation. Ice maker is noticeable when making ice, but works well. Storage space is very good, in both frdige and freezer.

I have purchased this model in 2009, and have replaced the defrost thermostat three times. This refrigerator has spoiled more of our food than any other refrigerator that we have had. I will NOT buy another Maytag. We are now looking for new refrigerator, I'm sick of putting money into this unit and I'm sick of replacing the food that has gone bad. This unit is only five years old.

We recently purchased this refrigerator for extra beverage storage. It fits perfectly into our laundry room & the French doors allow for comfortable access in a more confined space, while providing the extra room for drinks and ice that we were looking for. The wide deli tray storage area is great for party trays! Love that it has an icemaker!

I really like the features of this refrigerator. The only problem I've had is that the light in the freezer drawer won't always come on. I've tightened the bulb but still it comes on part of the time when I open the drawer and other times it doesn't. However I am happy that I bought it.

This fridge is excellent in every respect. It draws moisture out so efficiently that produce lasts a long time. When I have a great many visitors and the fridge is stuffed to the brim, it responds very quickly to my temp adjustment. This is a very good buy.

This is, without a doubt, the best fridge we've ever had. There are seven people in our household, so space is a necessity. I love that gallons (plural!!!) of milk can fit in the door. And the deli tray is simply amazing! Plus, all of the shelving is easily relocatable to fit anyone's needs!

I specifically selected this French Door model since the unit sits between two doorways in a fairly small kitchen with no water source nearby for indoor dispensers.I would have rated it 5 stars if the dividers in the top freezer rack were able to be repositioned or removed since I do not have the icemaker hooked up.

This is the first side by side with the freezer on the bottom that we have purchased. We find the access to the refrigerator compartment very handy and sorry we had not had this convenience before. This seems to be a very good Quality product and well worth the investment. If I had a complaint it would be that the vegetable drawer tends to freeze items close to the back of the drawer no matter how the temperature slide is adjusted. The freezer on the bottom is not an issue as we do not access it as much as the refrigerator section. Over all a good selection.

First I always wanted a French door refrigerator. Now I have one and I just love it. With this refrigerator I only have to open one door to get something out. It is more convenient for me to use. Very disappointed in this refrigerator. Surface scratches very easily. I have many scratches on the front. Everything shows on the front. The refrigerator when fully loaded freezes. Could not prepare my turkey breast for Christmas. Still frozen after three full days. Freezer door hard to close. Refrigerator doors do not shut tight, you must slam it every time. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!
