I bought mfi2269VEB2 five years ago. No problem until five year mark, then water stopped, ice maker leaked. Replaced water inlet valve, solved for five glasses of water during flush. Water now off, and using it as a regular icebox.

Purchased this fridge last year(Sept.) and I am happy with the fridge. I read the reviews and read a lot of complaints on how the ice dispenser spits out ice all over. Well, it is true. A way to avoid this problem is to push the water button when you have the desired amount of ice, as the ice is dispensing. :-) I think for the amount of money that you pay this shouldn't be a problem, but it is. Maytag should really think about fixing this problem.I have also found that I usually have to rearrange items in the fridge to make space.I would have given an excellent rating on design and performance if it wasn't for the ice dispenser. I gave an average rating on sound level because when the ice drops it can be a bit loud. The loudness of the ice dropping would not deter me from purchasing this model.

We purchased this refrigerator in December and it was stalled in January along with additional kitchen appliances. It looks very nice and works well, as advertised. Our only concern is with the tray for the door ice/water delivery. The tray which is intended to catch ice or water is not very functional. The lip surrounding the tray catches on the glass or cup and falls out when you remove the cup/glass after filling with ice or water.

I love the beverage chiller compartment. Ice maker works great. Freezer compartment is huge and allows plenty of storage for large or bulky items. I wish the freezer and refrig. temperatures showed the actual temp. rather than the setpoints. Overall very happy with the unit.
