The water dispenser leaks into the dispenser light and causes it to short out. Can't figure out how to fix it

I have had this fridge for 3 years now and it is falling apart. The handle on the freezer since day one comes loose consistently. The bottom shelf that is also the support for the veggie and fruit drawers has no center support which has led to the frame of the shelf cracking in the center and the door for the meat pantry to crack as well. The ice maker broke within the first 6 months as well as the door gasket. Why would Maytag make such a loaded shelf and not have some sort of support in the center is beyond me. I wish I had known this before wasting my money. I don't think I will every go with a Maytag product again.

I would not recommend this refrigerator. The ice maker is terrible. Holds very little ice so that in summer we must keep a separate bag in freezer with extra ice. Also, dispenser does not effectively deliver ice to cup but rather spews it out so every time ice pieces fly out to floor. In addition, after 2 years the ice dispenser does not work and will need to be replaced.

I am overall pleased with this fridge...the cons are the filter cap is almost impossible to remove and the ice dispenser is poorly designed...the ice goes everywhere but the glass!!! It needs a bigger guard

I bought this a few months ago and to date I am happy with it the beverage chiller is a must have. I am able to fit all of my groceries in with ease. the ice making capacity is great and I enjoy having my freeze below and not side by side giving me more room to store frozen food items.

I am satisfied with this product. I have had it for about a month now. I am still trying to configure the way the food "should be" arranged. I am wondering if I may just have more condiments in there than the average family. Bump for the water dispenser eats up a lot of room. The sleekness is the best part. I love the look of the outside.

I purchased my first Maytag refrigerator and couldn't get a better refrigerator anywhere if I tried. The water and ice option is great. Never a warm glass of great tasting water again. My French doors , make everything you need at your fingertips. Also I have so much room to put my leftovers in. Great product and I would like to say, purchase a Maytag product you won't be sorry.....I will never get another brand ever.

We needed a new fridge, but our kitchen is smaller and the space for the fridge was smaller, from the 70's. This fridge was new, modern and still fit the old space.

We like our Maytag French Door refrigerator. It is very spacious and easy to keep well organized. It is easy to clean. Everything is readily visual, and refrigerator spoilage has been drastically reduced. The outside stainless surface and handles do need to be cleaned and wiped regularly to maintain attractive appearance.

When our 17 year old Frigidaire finally started giving us trouble, I decided it was time for a new one. Since I grew up in an appliance repair business, I knew that Maytag was high Quality and long lasting, and the Maytag repairman really is lonely! That's why I bought this one. That and I already have a Maytag Neptune W&D set that has never had an issue! Loving the slide out freezer drawers and the chiller drawer in the fridge, along with the large beverage holder in the door. I would bet that this refrigerator will last 17 years as well, with no problems! Love Maytag!

I hate to give this fridge a single star, but if one of the most important features doesn't work consistently, it reflects poorly on the rest. That feature is the ice make which, from the day I brought this model home, has been wonky. When it makes ice, it tends to spit the cubes all over the place when I try to load a cup or glass (I see from other reviews that this is apparently a design flaw - ie, it's not just happening to me). The trouble is that it periodically stops making ice, and will remain dormant for anywhere from a few hours to a week at a time before, just as mysteriously as it stopped, it will start again. I hate Hate HATE to have repair people in my home, but I suppose that's what I'll have to do. At any rate, if you use a normal quantity of ice, you may want to consider another manufacturer.

My husband an I bought our fridge during the Black Friday sales Nov '14 and absolutely love it! The double doors are great and the ice keeps up without any trouble. It's super cold which has its drawbacks- sometimes the milk freezes in the bev chiller compartment and it takes meat longer to thaw. I would also prefer more door space but otherwise no complaints and I've really enjoyed the flat drawer at the bottom for storing veggie trays and pizzas!!!

We bought this after our 15 1/2 year old failed us and we love it! French doors gives easy access and it opens to where we need to select our food. We no longer need our water cooler! It fits beautifully in our kitchen and gives us plenty of walking space when a door is open! It is so quiet and I loved the locking feature for the water when little children are present! Milk compartment is wonderful and keeps it slightly cooler. I also notice that my lettuce keeps longer and is fresher in the vegetable drawer--what can I say, I love it!

We have had this fridge now for about two months and we love it. The size is good, and the shelves and compartments are very functional. Its also good looking in our kitchen and fits the space perfectly. Only downside is the ice dispenser is a little uncontrollable.

It seems that most "smaller" refrigerators these days cost twice as much as their larger counterparts. After a very long search, we came across this refrigerator which not only fit into our limited space but also had the features we wanted at an affordable price. So far we are pleased with our purchase. My only complaint is the design of the ice dispenser which causes ice-cubes to go flying across the floor.

Really love the freezer being on the bottom, seems to hold a lot more items and like the way you can divide meats and frozen veg. also the drawers in the freezer!!! I am very pleased with it!!! Really glad I bought it!!!!!

This model is in my motorhome. Does everything well, but it is very inconvient to have to reach way inside and pull the ice maker bin out to turn the ice maker off. A switch on the outside or in a more convient place inside would be much better.

We had this refrigerator for a few months now and I absolutely love it. It has a great, clean look to it and all of the settings are very easy to use. I love the drawers inside the freezer, it allows us to get so much more food storage vs our old side by side. The ice maker itself is pretty large which is kind of frustrating, but it hasn't been a major issue. The odd thing is, considering the size of the maker itself, it doesn't store a lot of ice. We found a very easy solution to this and that is to use one of the drawers in the freezer to store our ice as soon as a new batch is made. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Our refrigerator location is against a wall so we really are limited to one 34 inches or less wide. It certainly is well designed and offers good access to all three openings. It cooled down to set temperatures within a couple of hours and began producing ice right away. Within 24 hours the temps were stabilized and the plenty of ice. You need a large mouth glass and some fineness to get ice without it spilling on floor. The stainless steel surface resists marks better than our other appliance but it is not smudge free. Water filter is located inside the refrigerator rather than in the grill at the bottom, which I prefer. we put several temp gages at various spots and it seems to maintain good even temps all over.I think it was a very good bargain and so far has operated very well!
