Decent Fridge Poor Factory Support

It is sad to say our fridge is less than 10 years old and the control panel in the door is malfunctioning and our service person (who is awesome) told us that the part is discontinued. What the heck is going on with that, and i see where other people have posted the same problem. If this is not the case and I can get a replacement control panel please let me know and I will be happy to retract, but if true this would prevent me from buying future products from Maytag or affiliates if they will not support main parts.

I'm surprised at all the post on here for people expecting to have no problems for almost 10 years. It runs constantly for almost 10 years for me as well and I couldn't be happier. When time comes to replace it, it will be with a similar product. The water filter changes easily and it is a great product.

We're remodeling our kitchen and I hate to this fridge go (need counter depth). We've only had to replace a water line since 2008. Plenty of room and adjustable door shelves make storage easy.

After 2 years, it kept leaking on my hardwood floors due to a part that the repairman said was a bad design. I wrote may tag and they reimbursed me the $200+ bill for that repair. Then 6months later, the large drawer hinge broke and I've tried to glue the piece back on but it won't stand the stress of the drawer lid. So much for having a useful drawer. If I had the money, I would buy a GE. Now I'm dealing with a JennAir cooktop that is 2 months old. May tag owns JennAir. The second service request is this Friday to hopefully fix the burners that all have flame settings the same for low, medium and high! No more may tag products for me.
