Maytag is obsolete

Was happy with Maytag 3000 series set, up requires lots of maintenance... now door won't lock, and expensive repairman says control board is not functioning,,, maytag(whirlpool) no longer makes the parts to repair on a ten year old machine!!
So do not both buying an expensive machine from these people since they cannot hold up their end of the deal and supply parts!
Just buy. Heapest one out there, off brand and it will last twice as Lon.:y old Maytag lasted over twenty years ea... now thaw screw you by causing obsolescence.
Do not trust a brand like that

had this washer anddryer combo for 10 years, we do 2-3 loads per day everyday ofthe week. never had any issues with any of them until yesterday. the hinge on the washer broke ( 156$ on amazon ) the price is pretty STEEP for a 10 year old machine.

I've never, never had a problem with my Maytag 3000 series. Have had for more than 10 years now. Has lasted through raising 3 active boys, 1 messy little girl, and a construction working husband. Manually wipe it out occasionally, use Afresh tablets occasionally as well. Even double stacked it with the dryer on top about a year ago and still works like a charm!

Suspect mechanicals

Disappointed in durability of this machine. With this having "commercial technology" you would think it was mechanically sound. However, when we first purchased it was noisy from the very first spin cycle. Turns out the suspension needed to be greased, which a serviceman had to come out and do. Why that wasn't done at the factory baffles me. Then about 3 years later the main bearing starts to get loud and now it sound like a jet engine in the spin cycle.

What a piece of garbage ran good for the first 3 years. Don't wast your money started to bang around need springs and shock dampers at a cost over 400 really. Great design the only good thing is you can use it as a boat anchor thanks Maytag for taking my money! Don't get why Maytag is asking my gender and my age leave a review

I don't like that it doesn't make alot of suds and my towels are still sour even with just 6 towels in there. I use 3 detergent pods and 3 cups of Tide liquid and they're still not fresh...

We like our Maytag
wishywashy

WE bought ours at the end of 2008. It's been a good performer so far. We haven't had to make any repairs on it at all.The monthly cleaning is a must: we caught ours just in time; I think we went 6 months and noticed some "crud" developing. I gave it a good manual cleaning and started cleaning it every month and so far it's been great. If you're not willing to do the monthly cleaning on it, you're definitely not going to be happy.

Flawed Design - too expensive to repair
6 loads a week.

This washer promised multiple wash cycles and "commercial' technology. It worked great for about 3 years, then become very noisy over the next few months. At the end, sounded like a roller skating rink. Out of warranty repair meant replacing the basket and tub as an assembly costing over $400! For real? Got a better top loader on Black Friday for $550 delivered. Last Maytag "commercial' Quality product we'll ever buy, for sure!
