We have had this machine about 4 years now have had to clean out the drain trap once and luckily had purchased extended warranty because the drain pump went out and had to be replaced. The washing machine gets clothes clean uses very little water, and will wash a king size set of sheets or comforter we had always wanted a front load washing machine because they don't seem to tear up the clothes. When you set it to the highest spin setting it sounds kind of like a jet engine the clothes come out damp dry so your dryer gets them dry pretty fast. I would recommend this to a friend but I would also recommend and extended warranty! PS have had no trouble with mold around the door seal when not in use we leave the door open and mold has not been a problem with this machine as had been reported in some of the earlier models.

Bought washer with matching dryer in Nov 2009, since then it has been nothing but problems. Had to have the washer fixed multiple times through out the years but this year was the worst. The washer needed a complete overhaul. The repair guy stated that everything needed to be replaced internally (bearings, motor, etc.) It was a three man job and worth $1500. We were still under the extended warranty so we had it done. Unfortunately, nothing will help this machine. It is still very noisy, loud and doesn't clean clothes well. We will not buy another maytag. DO NOT believe the 10-year warranty!!

We bought this to replace our old washer. Why didn't we do it sooner! The washer uses less water and time! And our clothes are clean! We leave the door cracked open after a wash and have not had any odor issues. Great product!

The bearing went out twice on our 3 year old Maytag front load washer. This is an extremely expensive fix. We have junked it and bought a new washer (different brand). We thought Maytag was Quality, but twice in three years is ridiculous. The cost of the repair was more than the cost of our new washer. We will not be buying Maytag again.

I was skeptical of purchasing a front loading machine due to concerns of "smell" by some of my friends. However, I've had no such problem with this machine. I was also a little worried about all the buttons and options, but now I am very pleased I bought this model. It has enough options to properly and safely clean the type of clothes and other items.I would definitely recommend it!

The only issue is the timing showing in the display, doesn't always seem to be accurate like it shows 10 min left and come back 15 min later and shows 8 mins

After two years the tub and bearing went. I had to purchase the extended warranty and wait 90 days. They fixed it so it's back to new. Not sure if I would recommend this washer.

Machine has good capacity and gets things clean. I wish there was a "soak" type cycle/option and a way to tell if the hot water is really hot.Had service work done after about 6 months for bad bearings and the noise level got unbearable. quiet otherwise.

I've had this product for about a month. So far it has worked well. My only complaint is that the drawer for soap and fabric softener fills with water and has to be taken out every time and the water dumped for the drawer to dry out properly.

Very disappointed, 5 months after purchase washingmachine started to make loud noise on spin cycle like a jet taking off. Baring is bad and need to wait a week for part to come in. Yes maytage had year warranty but big inconvience to be without a washing machine. I had bad experience with maytag 15yrs ago but saw commercials and hoped Maytag approved. Lesson learned would not buy Maytag again and forced to by extended warranty.

I was really loving my long desired new front loading washer and dryer but after about 8 months it started to sound like F-16's were taking off in my laundry room, I thought maybe it was just what happened after awhile, apparently the barrings went bad and although clothes were still coming out clean the tub became increasingly lose and the sound was deafening. We live in a very rural area and so I was without my machine for 5 weeks total, and was spending too much time and money in a not so pleasant laundry mat. My machine has finally made its way back into my laundry room, and I am loving it once again.

This washer does a good job of cleaning clothes, but it can get noisy when set to the faster spin settings. Pedestals are a bit expensive for what they are.

I really enjoyed this product except for from the beginning of use it sounded like a jet engine was about to take off from my laundry room during the spin cycle. Since it was this way from the beginning I continued to use it and then it died. Luckily it was still covered under warranty. Now it is the perfect washer on all accounts. It is so much quieter I am thrilled! The warranty dept. took care of me but being without a washer for 3 weeks while it was being repaired was miserable. In the end I love the washer but if it wasn't for the fact the repairs were covered under warranty and were fixed adequately then I would probably be singing a different tune.

I really wish that I could give a stellar review of this machine, but unfortunately I cannot...have only owned my machine for 6 months & already have had problems. Just after 1 month of ownership, it threw a code in regards to the dispenser...thankfully it not has happened since. And now I have a service tech coming out to find out why the spin cycle has become increasingly louder & louder...I sure hope that it is not a bearing problem, as this machine replaced another brand HE machine that I had to dispose of due to this same problem. I purchased this machine on several recommendations of friends, family & extensive research...I thought that I was making a smart, sound purchase, but now I'm not so sure. Other than these problems, I will have to say that I love the features, size & ease of use of this machine.

The performance of the washer is amazing! I enjoy the pre-settings, which allow me to select my load with ease. I recently encountered a problem with my machine. The bin is not fuctioning properly. Hopefully, it will be repaired with no problem. Especially, since it is under the first year warranty. I still really enjoy my washer and hope that this is manner set back. Great washer!

Wanted a new washing machine that was a Front Load, using less water AND Energy Star Rated. Expected just a washing machine but instead I received a machine that actually gets the clothes CLEAN. Doing "whites" is REALLY impressive - they actually come out white !!!Rarely use the Fresh & Hold but on a couple of occassions, needed to. Had my doubts but was proven wrong. The clothes were held in the air-tight tub, an internal fan (barely audible) automatically came on and the next day - - the lighter clothes were almost dry and the remaining (heavier clothes) were literally FRESH. Put them in the dryer and they dried in half the time. Too compulsive to use the Fresh & Hold very often, but after seeing the results, am tempted to.LOVE the automatic detergent/bleach/softener dispenser, making it a totally Set & Forget feature...no returning to add this or that.Besides, it style makes for an impressive sight when guests walk through the laundry room - wouldn't go so far as to say it's beautiful, but it certainly is good looking !And the capacity is excellent - even when "full" it STILL gets the clothes clean - and afterall, isn't that the whole idea ?You can get a less expensive washer, but I doubt you will find a better Quality washer.

Overall this has been a great washer for the 6 months that i have owned it. I like the ease of turning it on. I hardly ever change the setting so I only have to push power and then start and then i put the soap and softner in. I love that you dont have to choose you load size. I wish it came in other colors other then the white tough.
