In the first six months we had this fridge two different people leaned on the control board and crashed the fridge. We aren't clear on the how to reboot it, and in both cases just pushed buttons until it restarted. Not all shelves are adjustable and some of the spaces are just awkward or tiny. (What's with the three inch tall area between bins?) Also, the fridge always seems too cold, even though I have it set WAY below the recommended temperature. After about a year of use, lights in both the fridge and freeze have started disco strobing. Doesn't seem covered by warranty, so I think i've got an expensive repair to do. Not happy.

Took a flyer on this refrigerator without seeing it in person. The outlet price was too good to pass up. This replaces an older Whirlpool gold side by side (smaller cubic feet), but fits the cut out better. So far so good. Runs whisper quiet and temperature control is solid. We've bumped the temperature up from the manufacturer spec's as this fridge at 37 seems too cold. We noticed some vegetable freezing in the lower bins, but resolved by shutting down the lever for style of food in the drawer. Had our first batch of ice within an hour, but it did take a couple of days to completely remove that new plastic taste from the water dispenser. A big thumbs up!

This is a well designed and very functional refrigerator. It is performing very well and I like the additional features like the slide-out drawers, in-door ice storage, and audible warnings when the door is left open (we have a mentally handicapped daughter at home who "grazes" regularly and we've had instances before where the freezer or fridge has been left ajar without us noticing).

I bought this in May and was totally in love with it! I loved the clear shelving. loved the space all around. BUT by June the fridge side was freezing most of my food!!!!! like ice!! wasted a bunch of money throwing food away!! Like frozen cracked eggs, salads, cracked glass jars of my fruits! Made a mess all over the place. The water and ice button did erase like others have mentioned. Was just so bummed and my husband kept throwing it in my face. I finally called in august cause I was giving it a chance and trying to decide if I should keep it or return it. This would have been the second fridge within a year to exchange. So I decided to call for a repair. They came and service was great. But tech told me it would take another week for the temp to reset and adjust!!! ugh!

I bought this refrigerator a month ago and I am happy with it. I went from a top freezer to this Side by Side. It is large enough so I don't miss my old one. The only thing it is stainless steel and it shows finger prints. I am wiping all the time.

This refrigerator was delivered Christmas Eve and it's been a great present. I like everything about our new stainless steel Maytag. Our kitchen entry is very narrow and I was tired of our previous refrigerator's single wide door hitting the counter. This side by side is perfect. I was a little apprehensive since we ordered it on-line from Costco and never saw more than a picture. I've been pleasantly surprised with all the extras such as the middle deli drawer above the two bottom crisper drawers. The ice maker and dispenser is in the door which leaves plenty of freezer space. Also, the stainless steel has very little smudging due to what appears as a clear coat.

I like the water and ice in the door, which leaves more room in the freezer section. I decided to save $s and get last year's model which has door handles that do not match my other new appliances, and I wish I had not done this.I like the stainless steel finish and would not change it, but it always has fingerprints showing, and I don't like this.

I can't say enough about this fridge! It's just the right size in both the freezer and the fridge. It has movable shelves and is easy to clean inside and out. The fridge is easy to use and everything is accessible for both my husband and I and the kids.

I bought a maytag package about 18 months ago and the refrigerator and dish washer have had multiple problems. I have had servicemen out to fix the problems more than three times and now the dishwasher is broken again. The new replacement refrigerator has already failed in the ice maker... Again. Also the company used to install the latest refrigerator failed to hook up or turn off the water supply lead which caused my basement to flood. I still need a replacement panel for the dishwasher. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. I'd write more but I have to get back to hand washing my dishes...

We purchased our first Maytag refrigerator when we remodeled our kitchen in 2005. When we sold the house in 2013 the buyer liked the refrigerator and asked for it in the purchase offer. We left this refrigerator and bought this similar model for our new home. We never had any issues with our original purchase and don't expect to have any with the new one. The ice maker in the door is an excellent change. This change leaves so much more usable freezer space.
