Early Trouble

We have had this for 2 years and the defrost switch went out. It has a 1 year warranty on it so I had to replace it. It works fine now but my last fridge was 12 yrs old with no problems

I purchased this model Maytag in July of 2012. I've been very pleased with certain features like the smaller ice cube size, tall water dispenser with one push lever(instead of two) which allows me to get quite tall glasses in there, and its very easy to replace the water filter. In the 1 1/2 years I've had no repairs. The noise level is average and is the loudest when the ice cubes drop into the ice bin, which is to be expected. The only thing that I've closely monitored is the temperature settings and I purchased an inexpensive refrigerator thermometer for this. The freezer is on the LEAST cold setting and reads -8. The refrigerator is on the MOST cold setting and reads 38. These temperatures are acceptable, but I feel the refrigerator should be reading colder than 38 when it is at it's most cold setting. Otherwise I'm overall pleased with this model.

The refrigerator performs well and has a great appearance. Its biggest shortcoming is related to the storage drawers, which are difficult to open and close.

We are happy with the design, it fits well with the kitchen. The noise that the water and ice maker make is pretty loud. Having trouble with the ice maker right now but from what I'm reading online, it should be an easy fix. I'll update if not.
