Good until 6 months after the warranty expired

Well the 1st thing that happened to this brand new fridge was the ice chute broke. That is the plastic piece that feeds ice into your glass like a funnel. It wasn't a big deal so we just lived with it. It was a good fridge until the 18 month mark, 6 months after the warranty expired. It just stopped cooling. The repair guy said that the freon system was self contained and should not ever need a freon recharge but apparently it sprung a leak. In doing so the compressor was overheating and failing. Compressors run about $500 and finding the leak would be an arduous task. This stupid fridge lasted 1.5 years. Nowhere near the average lifespan of 10 years. This fridge has never been over filled or left open or set to extremely low temp. Never going to maytag again

This refrigerator looks excellent, works exactly as expected with ample amounts of storage. My only complaint is how loud it is, but really it's a non-issue for me. Overall, it's an excellent Value for the price.

After living with an old refrigerator that leaked water and the door wouldn't close all the way, my new Matag is a dream. I like the adjustable shelves and easy wipe clean shelves. Room for everything. The automatic water and Ice dispenser is something that my husband loves. We really like crushed ice! I was worried about getting a black appliance because of fingerprints on the face, but it seems that fingerprints don't stick to the surface. How do you do that Matag?

I love the room inside my maytag refrigerator. I also love the features such as the ice maker, the water filtration system and the ease of getting drinking water and ice either crushed or in cubes.

I was looking for the perfect refrigerator for my new kitchen. OMG so many to pick from. This particular refrigerator had my perfect measurements not to mention the sleek look drew me in. It has been perfect for my family of four. The ice and water dispenser works great love the LOCK feature when the grand kids come to visit.

Our old refrigerator stopped working after only 2 1/2 years so this was an emergency purchase. The front of the fridge shows smudge marks easily, the light on the water dispenser does not light up unless you manually switch it on and off, and the ice in the dispenser often gets backed up in the door of the freezer making a huge mess when the ice melts or when someone comes along behind and tries to use the ice dispenser later. The doors on the fridge side do not open wide enough. The fridge keeps the food cold and functions well in that aspect. The freezer can be loud at times and there is a constant hum but it's not too distracting.

We are somewhat happy with this purchase. The ice maker is rather noisy but works well.There seems to be a moisture buildup in the lower drawers.Otherwise we are quite satisfied with this appliance.
